Legal outcome of 2010 Violence in China: Did the Chinese Government intervene for fear of an international incident? Did the Taiwan Government put pressure on China? Did the Taiwan Businessman bribe police? Were the local police incompetent? To this day Mary the American Woman does not want to think or talk about that incident and has said she will never return to China. She was left totally traumatized by the incident. Miss Mae the Chinese woman has suffered medical problems since the incident in May which was planned and provoked by the Taiwan Businessman.
Money, Power, Incompetence and Corruption in China:
Photos were lifted from security footage and are therefore not too good in quality. They are also not the most dramatic photos that could have been lifted. In time I hope to replace these photos with others that show the sequence of the violence.
E.E.T. Private English School's Victory over Bashing Victim
In June of 2009 at the invitation of the Taiwan owned and run E.E.T. [Easy English Training] Private English School in Shanghai, I was invited to work 1 in their 'soon to open' branch in Baotou in Inner Mongolia.
The local boss, (Sabrina Chui / Cui Lirong) a Baotou Native who ditched her Communist Party Membership and Chinese citizenship to make money overseas, turned out to be everything but a sensible businesswoman. She was instead, worse than the Taiwanese franchiser (Gao Jiawei / David Gao); a person with total disregard for Chinese Law, Chinese people, and the very customers whose money fills the coffers.
After 3 months of absolute provocation, outright lies and other deceptions, I walked out of the office, my apartment and my job. That story in its entirety however, is not the essence of this article today.
Today's article is about the final result of the most hideous display of 'base Chinese character' that one can imagine, and not one of the people involved is a member of the 'Communist Party'. That display took the form of physical violence in May 2010.
A few pertinent facts concerning a rather remarkable and violent day in Baotou City Inner Mongolia China.
Point 1. E.E.T. Baotou was instructed by the Education Department Foreign Affairs Office to pay an American teacher her due salary.
Point 4. I informed the Office Manager that the American Teacher needed to consult with government officials about this discrepancy in amount and that we would return.
Point 7. When the meeting commenced, EET Management made objection to our Chinese friend being present... EET Management agitatedly and abusively began shouting at her and so she left the room.
Point 13. The American Teacher received her money.
(After the meeting with Education Dept Officers)
Before I could get to them, they fell to the ground. Mr. Gao was on his right side facing out toward the entrance, and Mae was 2 feet away on her back... Mr. Wu the EET Baotou office manager... began powerfully kicking Mae in the ribs and stomach, all the while screaming obscenities at her in Chinese...
Cui Lirong [Sabrina Chui], the refined lady-like and distinguished 'Professional Businesswoman' was screaming Chinese obscenities for the entire world to hear...
Government Officials this morning sent the police to my apartment to make sure that I was safe and that all my paperwork was in order.
Is this the Chinese Culture that Mainland Chinese People are so proud of?
This Happened INSIDE a Government Department Building!
From that time - May 2010 onwards, Miss Mae daily fought a battle to have her assailant punished according to the law.
In October of 2010 just prior to returning to Baotou to work in another Private School, I received an email warning from a friend, advising me not to return to Baotou, because Gao Jaiwei had threatened to have me officially reported to Taiwan Authorities in China. At least one of the charges was that of provoking social disharmony. [A Serious Charge in China]. I promptly forwarded that email warning on to the Taiwan Consul in Australia, as well as to Government officials in Baotou. [Accompanied by a letter which will be published in due course.]
Since I have been back, I have had opportunity to talk with Miss Mae at length, and see both her physical pain and emotional exhaustion in her pursuit for justice, but during this time I have not been free to write. It was necessary that I wait until Miss Mae had had her grievances correctly addressed or had otherwise exhausted all avenues in the process of seeking redress.
By December 2010 the Police had made a number of statements to Miss Mae, including that whenever the Police seek to contact Mr. Wu, Cui Lirong or Gao Jaiwei [Taiwan boss in Shanghai], their representatives claim that these people are out of the country, or in another city, or otherwise unavailable at that time.
Another statement made to Miss Mae was that Mr. Gao had drawn up a long list of complaints against Miss Mae and me and that should Miss Mae's matter go to court, that he (The Taiwan EET Franchiser) would begin legal action against us.
Miss Mae has suffered medical problems since the incident in May; an incident planned and provoked by the Taiwan Taipan Gao Jiawei, and his EET school has taken no responsibility for the outcome. In due course I shall write fully about all the background details, but today I simply wish to state that the final outcome of Miss Mae's bashing, is that no action will be taken against her assailant Mr. Wu or the E.E.T. school, and that now leaves me free to write.
Mr. Gao Jiawei [David Gao] has in front of many people accused me of trying to upset the social order and harmony of China by making 'false' complaints against him and his staff, and while no one other than David Gao has accused me of being a trouble maker, I can imagine that some who have read my articles about this school might think there is some truth to the claim and that I am simply playing a game of 'payback'.
But the truth of the matter is to be seen in how E.E.T. treat and have treated other people, (and I have had foreign teachers send me emails 2 in relation to the E.E.T. schools).
It has cost me a lot of money to make sure that foreigners do not blindly fall into their hands - a lot more money than if I had just dropped the matter. These are truly vile people and I cannot in all good conscience let others fall into their traps.3
American Defends Chinese Bashing Victim: U.S. Cavalry to the Rescue: Mary the American Teacher is first on the scene.
Many people accuse me of being 'politically incorrect' when I write about my experiences in China, but I tell them, and today tell you, that what I write is the unadulterated truth and if you can't stand that, then go find a high bridge to jump from.
So what finally happened in Miss Mae's long journey for justice?
Well, you can form your own opinions. You do have a number of possibilities to choose from, each one of which has been suggested by various Chinese Citizens.
1. Gao Jiawei 'paid off' the Baotou Police.
2. The Taiwan government intervened to manipulate the Chinese Gov't. [China is afraid to lose Taiwan Business.] 4
3. Higher Government powers "that be" ordered that no action be taken [fear of an international court case involving citizens of Taiwan, China, America, Australia, and Canada] 5
4. Baotou Police are incompetent. 6
Re: 4. Baotou Police are incompetent.
After Miss Mae had fought her way up the ranks to the higher echelons of the Baotou Police Department, and met officers who in front of her instructed the lower echelons to directly deal with the matter, those lower echelons of Local Police finally confessed to Miss Mae that if they brought the matter before the courts, that they, the police, would lose their jobs.
It seems that on the day that she and the management of EET, David Gao, Sabrina Chui/Cui and Mr. Wu were taken to the Police Station, the Police officers involved failed to follow proper police procedure. They failed to fill out the correct forms, to provide proper notices to those involved, and failed to get sworn statements.
So concerned by the likelihood of losing their jobs were they, that some police officers even offered to pay Miss Mae some compensation. Miss Mae, convinced of their sincerity, put their futures above her own, and, without accepting any compensation, has laid the matter to rest. This of course does not mean that she is happy.
If you wish, you are entitled to consider the police confession nothing but B.S. - or a good cover story - but as several Chinese people have commented:
'Whoever heard of Police paying compensation to Citizens?'
Another way to express their idea would be to say that "When you see water flowing uphill, you know that something is really amiss".
Whatever the truth of the matter really is, there is one thing of absolute certainty:
'E.E.T. China can jump for joy once more at beating the Chinese Rule of Law'
Miss Mae will suffer pain for the rest of her life without proper hospital treatment, but that is nothing to the Taiwan Taipan, and nor does it matter to the once Chinese but now Canadian businesswoman who in front of locals claims to be a proud Chinese ( i.e. who loves Mao Zedong and China, and is proud of Chinese Culture), but who has no compunction in disobeying Chinese Law; no compunction in Cheating foreigners; no compunction in Cheating Chinese workers; and no compunction in physically or verbally abusing anyone she pleases. (You should have heard her language on the front steps of the Education Department!)
It is only a matter of time before we again hear of some other poor Foreign or Chinese soul being cheated, robbed, bashed and who knows? even murdered by agents of the Taiwan Taipan Mr. David Gao or by his ugly step sister Cui Lirong (Sabrina Chui). They say leopards don't change their spots. I don't know! I do however know that it is in the nature of abusers to abuse, and they will continue to abuse until they are stopped.
(Abusers are people who suffer from psycho-emotional problems sourced in an intricate web of experiences, phobias and thinking patterns. They don't usually just 'choose' to stop abusing. It's not something that they can really control. Their internal problems cannot be resolved until they willingly seek help. They can be forced to modify their behavior but this is not necessarily a cure for their ills.)
This time they were not stopped, but eventually, EET will cross the line again, and hopefully at that time there will be people with the 'guts' to stand up and take them on.
In the meantime I will just go about my daily life, sitting on the sidelines waiting for that day! But be assured that this is not the last time that I will write about E.E.T. Shanghai because now that I have no reason to shut my mouth (so as not to upset Miss Mae's legal journey), I am free to write, and there is so much to write.
I frankly can't believe the size of the first draft. But if you think that the story will be all about me and E.E.T, then think again! The story will be about my life and experiences from the time I first arrived in Baotou, to the present day.
Within the footnote section below there are a number of lengthy comments in relation to statements made above.

The Tape shows she did it twice - I only recall seeing it once.
Good onya Mary!
To this day Mary does not want to think or talk about that incident and has said she will never return to China. She was left totally traumatized by the incident and spent the night at my apartment. She was an emotional wreck.

Footnotes:
1. In May of 2010 when police came to check on my security, they also took me to the police station where they examined my paperwork. They informed me that it was illegal for EET Shanghai to organize the issuance of a Work Visa and then put me to work in Baotou. My ignorance of the Law ?it was explained ?did not exonerate me from culpability but since 'my offence' was more than six months out of date, no action would be taken against me. Despite the fact that E.E.T. at that time were illegally operating and had in their employ a foreigner who could not have had a legally issued visa to work in Baotou, he was not removed from his position and nor (as far as I have been informed) was EET Baotou penalized. Within 4 months however, they were legally registered. Updated Notice:March 17th I was officially advised that they are not legally registered - See footnotes in this article.
3. I had after all, (in an effort to find foreign teachers for them) provided EET a lot of free advertising through my Magic City Morning Star News Column. In effect, were I not to have written the truth as it became known to me, I would have been responsible for foreigners accepting employment in an abusive school.
I should also point out that whilst my articles 'may' have made it more difficult for E.E.T. to find foreign teachers, those articles do not interfere with the school's ability to find students. My articles are in English and so have no impact in China. Whilst the school might be able to charge higher fees for providing 'a foreign' teacher, no private English school in China bases its operation solely on the supply of 'foreigners'. Any claim that my actions are designed to bankrupt the E.E.T. company or bring it into disrepute in China, could only be made by liars or the ignorant.
4. My opinion on this matter is ambivalent, but were it to be true, it would certainly make for an interesting scenario, for it would mean that the Communist Chinese Government does the Bidding of the Taiwanese Kuomintang Government.
I use the word 'ambivalent' because I have been told that Taiwan investment in the East and South of China is extensive, and that money is power in China.
5. This concept was raised many times and on at least one occasion it was attributed to Mr. Gao. However it seems highly unlikely. If anything, an international incident dealt with in the courts would improve China's standing in the public arena and demonstrate Mainland Chinese intolerance of illegal or abusive Taiwanese business practices. (Nevertheless one should always be mindful of 'Chinese Loss of Face'. The Government goes to great lengths to 'impress' foreigners and would certainly not be pleased with publicity of this sort.)
6. Again a matter of ambivalence. The police at the time of the incident could have been slipped cash to ignore the paperwork. Mr. Gao was certainly carrying plenty of cash on that day. On the other hand I can't imagine him parting with a cent unless he was forced to. (He actually spent 2000 rmb in order to travel to Baotou to cheat the American Teacher of 5000 rmb. That's how tight he is!)
But as far as the competence or otherwise of local police is concerned, the reality is that most local / ordinary police in China do not receive the intense legal training that law enforcement officers in the west receive. My own experience at the police station (Footnote 1) demonstrated quite clearly their lack of familiarization with law and procedure. It took forever to complete what should have been short and sweet formalities. They were heavily reliant on a variety of handbooks to determine exactly what procedures to follow.
I would also point out that the fact that the City Chief Foreign Affairs Officer and the Chief of Police stepped in to ensure my safety demonstrates "their integrity", and although "they are unaware" of it, I did overhear a police officer talking on the phone, and know that Mr. Gao had complained that the Police were helping 'a foreigner', instead of him - a Chinese person. (Actually some of the police officers laughed at that idea. You have to understand what Mainland Chinese people think of Taiwan people to know why they laughed).
Regarding Mr. Wu - Miss Mae's assailant
I have to say that I was really surprised by his actions on the day involved. I saw his discomfort in obeying orders when he presented me with an illegal bill on the day I left EET.
I saw his discomfort at the EET Baotou office when he [who cannot speak English] was forced to confront and cheat the American foreign teacher (who could not speak Chinese). Not one of the EET staff was allow to act as translator.
I saw his face when the Education Dept Officer ripped into EET Management over their disgusting behavior toward foreigners. Whilst the Taiwan Taipan and his ugly step-sister and their accomplice within the Education Department all hung their heads and red faces in shame, Mr. Wu sat with his head held high. He was smiling like a man who was relieved that they were getting their comeuppance.
His anger later on that day (and it was he who knocked Miss Mae and Mr. Gao to the floor) can only be explained by his 'special' relationship with the ugly step-sister.
A variety of reports published at Magic City About E.E.T.
Mingxing's company had booked him into the upmarket Kempinski Hotel in Wuxi and he organized and paid for one extra day so that we could go sightseeing. There are two photos in Part one that relate to the Kempinski Hotel Room, but this photo is of the lavish foyer of the Hotel as taken from the first floor landing above the coffee shop. Whilst the Big Buddha is the 'centerpiece' so to speak, the real spectacular is to be found in the Cultural Museum. This place is one helluva spectacular place inside. It sits directly opposite the replica of the Potala Palace, and when you enter you are required to put coverings over your shoes. I suspect that the real reason is to cut down on the cleaning bill. This place was crowded and all those people shuffling along wearing shoe protectors gave the marble floor a really high sheen.
The Fairy Island on the Lake Taihu. which used to be called the Three-Mount Island, is a group of well-known islands and islets in the famou s scenic spot of Lake Taihu.it lies in the lake, and is 2. 0 kilometers away from the Turtle Head Peninsual, which is in the northeast shore. The entire islands are made up of the islets such as Daji, Xiaoji, Dongya, Xiya, with a total area of 12 hectares. (From a Sign at Taihu.)
It was decided that unshod horses would not be allowed to be used in commercial ventures. People couldn't ride horses for a living; salesman couldn't load goods onto their horses; and horses could no longer pull carts. While it all seemed quite logical and humane, the unforeseen consequence of the law was that the supply of goods into and out of the town began to dwindle, until in the end, business after business went bankrupt. As time went by the whole city went bust until the only ones left were those who could not afford to move, and one of these was our blacksmith. One day, considering that since the council itself was now gone, the blacksmith decided to restart his business.

You can go down the ramp and clearly see the road and the accompanying signs/ The Chaotian Gate - During the Zhizheng Reign of Yuan Dynasty it was renamed to Gongbei Tower. It was destroyed in the 10th year (1474) of Chenghua Reign Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the next year. The building was destroyed again in early Qing Dynasty and rebuilt in the 25th year (1686) of the Kangxi Reign Qing Dynasty. It is known as Drum Tower.
Politically Correct activists fight many different causes but their bottom line strategy is to demonstrate that their opponents are "GUILTY" - guilty of anything and everything one can quickly think of so as to disempower those same opponents. Reaction formation generally speaking is accusing others of those things of which you yourself are guilty BUT which you find inexcusable within yourself. It’s rather like being a Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. One part of the character lives in the righteous, non discriminatory respectable world of PC but underneath there is a guilty secret that one doesn't want to let escape. It would ruin their image. And so they point the fingers of hatred at those guilty of the same thing - because in fact they "loath themselves".
Having stated that the Governor is one of the very first elected officials to take this action and that there is no play book to show him what to do next, the American Policy Center is calling on citizens to sign a 'Letter of Thanks' to Governor Bentley: If you care about protecting our Constitution and our way of live from attacks by the United Nations, then you must stand with Governor Bentley by signing and returning you "Letter of Thanks for Opposing United Nations' Agenda 21". The newsletter warns however that if Governor Bentley is left to fight alone, then he is probably doomed to be destroyed by the very powerful UN/Agenda 21 forces.
The original command to anoint Jehu as king over Israel (not Judah) was given to Elijah the prophet in 1 Kings 19:15-17 in which he is commanded to anoint Hazael as King over Syria (in place of BenHadad) and Jehu over Israel in place of Ahab's son Jehoram. And there is a promise from God that those who escape from Hazael will be slain by Jehu and those who escape Jehu will be slain by Elisha. But even though the Scripture talks about killing the King of Israel's heirs (the house of Ahab), no where does it say that anyone is to kill the King of Judah "Ahaziah", who was either Ahab's grandson, nephew or son-in-law. (2 Kings 8:18 makes his mother to be the daughter of Omri and therefore sister of Ahab and so he was Ahab's nephew, while verse 26 states that his mother was Ahab's daughter therefore he was Ahab's grandson but verse 27 refers to him as son-in-law).
Definition: King's Calendar Chronological Research
The Premise: Between the 5th and 3rd centuries BCE (but continuing down to at least 104 BCE), Sectarian redactors transcribed the legitimate 'solar year' chronological records of Israel and Judah, into an artificial form, with listed years as each comprised of 12 months of 4 weeks of 7 days, or 336 days per year, thus creating a 13th artificial year where 12 solar years existed.
When the Synchronous Chronological Data provided in the Books of Kings and Chronicles for the Divided Kingdom Period are measured in years of 336 days, the synchronisms actually align. [Refer to Appendix 5. to see how it synchronises the Divided Kingdom Period]

R.P.BenDedek is the owner and Editor of KingsCalendar.com which was originally set up to publicize his research results into the Chronology of Ancient Israel. Those results were published under the title: 'The King's Calendar: The Secret of Qumran'.
Whilst there have been many attempts to solve the chronological riddle of the Bible's synchronisms of reigns of the kings of Israel and Judah and their synchronism with other Ancient Near Eastern Nations, no other research is based on a simple mathematical formula which could, if it is incorrect, be disproved easily. To date, no one has been able to dismiss the mathematical results of this research.

General formula for Biblical Data conversion:
The formula for constructing the artificial calendar was:
'X' times 364 equals 'Y' days'Y' days divided by 336 equals 'Z' artificial years.Values are:'X' = any given number of 'real/solar' years364 = perceived days in the sectarian calendar'Y' = number of days calculated336 = number of days in an artificial year'Z' = artificial years = 1.083'X' and represents the original number of the converted years plus 8%.To reverse the process by hand:'Z' years times 336 equals 'Y' divided by 364 equals the Number of 'X' years converted.
To see how effective this method is, SEE:Appendix 5:Diagrammatic Reconstruction of Israelite History from 936 to 586 BCE:
The Principle of Linear Causality
The King's Calendar is a very simple approach to Biblical Chronology. It substitutes a value of 336 days for every year listed in Scripture. As far as the Divided Kingdom is concerned, when you use this 336 day year value, the synchronisms actually work. To see how effective this method is, SEE:Appendix 5: Diagrammatic Reconstruction of Israelite History from 936 to 586 BCE
Because it is a mathematical system, the King's Calendar must abide by certain mathematical rules, the most important of which, is that if you change any date for any day, month, or year every other day, month, or year is effected and must also change. It's like a 'domino effect'. Chronological references cannot be 'forced' to fit, and nor can they simply be ignored or 'compressed' as is the usual case with historians and archaeologists.
If any King's Calendar chronological determination disagrees with anything in the history books, it must argue the case as to why the history books are wrong, or why the evidence for an assertion is untrustworthy. If the King's Calendar successfully defends its' position, then the history books cannot be treated as definitive, and if the King's Calendar is 'proven' wrong, then every other chronological reference it provides is also wrong.
Because of this, the King's Calendar Chronological Reconstruction of Israel's history is unique, in that its' methodology can be scientifically (mathematically) tested and demonstrated to be either true or false. Its' chronological predictions are able to be 'proved' or 'disproved'.
