Is your promise worth anything? Does the Arab League indeed function as a relevant and effective body? In the covenant of the Arab League, which all of the Arab states have signed, there are articles that state principles of behavior among yourselves, but you behave in the totally opposite way!! Article 5 prohibits your states from using force against each other. Were there not wars between Egypt and Libya? Between Egypt and Sudan? Between Saudi Arabia and Yemen? Between Iraq and Kuwait? Between Syria and Iraq? And while we're on the subject of Syria and Iraq, Article 6 of the League's covenant states that if a foreign state attacks an Arab state, the League must take measures against this attacker. What did you do when your brother, Saddam Hussein, was attacked in 2003 by foreign states? Not only did you not help him but you joined the attackers!!! So can anyone trust you?
Shortly after 9/11, President Bush stated, "The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace." With all due respect, I think that by now, so many years after 9/11 and so many terrorist attacks later, the observers of Islam and the Muslim world would disagree with Mr. Bush's propitious summation of Islam and the Muslim mindset toward the Western world. Hamas movement has rejected a revised Middle East peace initiative put forward by the Arab League. Arab states appeared to soften their 2002 peace plan, acknowledging that Israelis and Palestinians may have to swap land in any eventual peace deal. "The so-called new Arab initiative is rejected by our people, by our nation(?) and no one can accept it," Haniyeh, prime minister of the Hamas government in the coastal enclave, said. "The initiative contains numerous dangers to our people in the occupied land of 1967, 1948 and to our people in exile." He was referring to the partition of British-mandate Palestine in 1948 when the United Nations voted to divide the territory into a Jewish state and an Arab state.
'A' Territories are where the large Palestinian cities are located. The area is under PA security as well as civil control. In 'B' Territories, the PA administers civil affairs, while security affairs are Israeli responsibility. 'C' Territories are under Israeli and Civil Administration control. 'C' Territories present 60% of Judea and Samaria, and there are about 300,000 Jews living there. In addition, a few tens of thousands of Palestinians, comprising about 5% of the PA population, live there. The Obama administration still refers to the slaughter of American soldiers at Ft. The most frustrating aspect in this deadly game of cat and mouse for the soldiers is that THEIR HANDS ARE TIED. While they don't lack the motivation to put an end to the rock throwing, their orders only allow them to fire rounds of tear gas at the gathering mobs, as they are not allowed to use live fire. According to my friend the only time they are allowed to use their weapons is when they feel their life is in immediate danger if an approaching Arabs has an already lit firebomb (Molotov cocktail) in-hand ready to throw. If not all of those conditions are met and these are decisions the soldiers are forced to make in a split second, then only tear- gas rounds may be fired to disperse the stone throwers.
On the 27th November 1962, a man named Arthur Swanton of Baton Rouge, LA; a crew member of the S/S Penn Transporter met his untimely death by falling-off the gangway headfirst on to the cement dock below, killing him instantly. The states of the Middle East are the result of French and English colonialism. The absurd borderlines we see on the map were probably drawn by some Intelligence Officer in the British Military Headquarters during the first World War. The decline of Europe allows the Arabs to be free of the diplomatic structure it had created in the Middle East and the basic concepts, such as 'Nation' and 'National state', in which it had been anchored. "The Syrian nation" is a good metaphor for the matter. Syria is not a nation, it's citizens are not one people, and Assad is not "massacring his own people". The citizens of Syria are a collection of various religious groups, ethnic groups, tribes and clans, who don't have much in common, except for the shared ideology of "might makes right", and definitely do not have a national identity in the European sense of the word.

The suggestion that Israel should concede Jewish geography, in order to secure Jewish demography, ignores demographic trends in Israel, in the Muslim world in general and west of the Jordan River in particular. These trends reaffirm that time is working in favor of Israel's Jewish demography. In 2013, in sharp contrast with projections issued by the demographic establishment, there is a 66% Jewish majority (6.3 million Jews) in the combined area of Judea, Samaria (1.66 million Arabs) and pre-1967 Israel (1.65 million Arabs), compared with a 40% Jewish minority in 1948 and a 9% Jewish minority in 1900. The Jewish majority benefits from a robust tailwind of fertility rate and migration, which could produce an 80% Jewish majority by 2035.

But ratification of the new Constitution operated under the yet un-ratified Article VII of the new Constitution, which called for a vote of approval of just three fourths of the states. That is a Precedent!

A college professor at Florida Atlantic University, assigned his students to write the name of Jesus on a piece of paper, then put it on the ground and stomp on it.
I see that insurance premiums are going to skyrocket under you. It's those coverage mandates you put in place -- they're the culprit. According to a congressional report by the House Energy and Commerce Committee, some premiums are set to rise in every state. Yes, every state. And not by small amounts. Once a Constitution has been ratified, it cannot be amended without the consent of the people. Neither the government in power nor its lackeys, whether it be in the Supreme Court or elsewhere have to the power to unilaterally make any amendments that in some way or form diminish the rights of a certain section of the population, by according them less rights than another group.

As I write these words, a Jewish toddler injured in a Palestinian terror attack is lying in a hospital bed struggling for her life. After all, when a Palestinian picks up a stone and throws it at an Israeli vehicle, he is not expressing outrage or protesting against some perceived wrongdoing. He is making a conscious decision to grab hold of a potentially deadly object and send it hurtling through the air in order to cause bodily harm. The abduction of 21 Philippine members of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), which has monitored a ceasefire zone between Syria and Israelsince 1974, has heightened security fears. If you are going to let a student burden him/herself with a huge debt in order to graduate from your school, you should have some skin in the game. Benevolent ethnocentrism -- the assumption that other cultures are ready to embrace one's own standards and worldview - is morally flawed and strategically self-destructive. This reflects a superficial view of global complexity and undermines one's posture of deterrence in a world of intensifying disorder, and increasing hostility towards Western values. Free World leaders should not assume that cardinal democratic values such as life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, peaceful coexistence, and the belief that all men are created equal, could be adopted by most non-democratic cultures.

(Originally a 4 part article) On January 14th 2010, I commenced my trip back to Australia. The temperature at that time was varying between minus 15 and minus 20 degrees. It was for this Aussie, despite living in China for 7 years, truly cold. I flew from Baotou in Inner Mongolia to Beijing and stayed one night in the Beijing Aulympic Airportel. The Hotel is located very close to the airport. The fees were very very very low and that suited me fine. I did not expect however, that the hotel would be as nice as it was. Next day I flew to Hong Kong where I connected with a Qantas flight travelling to Brisbane Australia.
When we arrived, we noted that this place really was a resort centre. It had wave pools and other interesting things for people to enjoy, and even accommodated school tour groups with dormitory style accomodation. Opposite the breakfast room was a swimming complex, in the front of which was a very interesting sign. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to bring my .38 Smith and Wesson. When we went in for breakfast, we saw that the next room was set up for a wedding, and discovered that it was 'our' wedding reception. Taking a 'sticky beak', I noted that there were no knives on any of the tables. 'Ahah! Thank God I brought that solid clear plastic knife with me!'.. The whole time before and after the actual church service, the local beggars were inside the church hitting everyone for money. Oh the guilt of refusing a pittance for the poor in the house of God, but I was advised to give no one anything, for that would be more effective than the 'last trump' for the dead. All the beggars would arrive. Not that this mattered at all. Who was carrying money?
By the time I got home and did the packing for the trip, the morning had long gone and it was around 2 pm when I head off to Wivenhoe dam with my camping and fishing gear, for some solitary piscatorial adventures. I arrived at Wivenhoe and began preparing my tent, air mattress, cooking gear etc etc, before heading off to a 'special' spot for some surface action. This area, for the first time in years, has trees semi-submerged by the recently rising water levels. The sun is already low in the sky as I get close, but before I get there, I notice the swallows circling and diving just above the water, near the bank. This is a sign that they are chasing insects. I also notice fish breaking the surface as they too attempt to catch whatever insects land on the surface. I turned off the sounder and moved silently to within casting distance and began flicking surface lures, but to no avail.
A Male Steward came off the plane and walked over to me and said: "It's alright! We aren't going to leave without you! Calm down! Catch your breath!" The 'So and So' was right. It was still another 30 minutes before we took off! I on the other hand was watching the driver through his rear view mirror. He seemed to be blinking an awful lot and his driving was a little erratic. Not that that is unusual in China, but when you are on the highway and you have 3 or 4 lanes to choose from and very little traffic, you would think that you could drive in at least one or two of those lanes for more than 500 meters at a time.
We left Queenstown for the Fox Glacier, arriving at Arrowtown in just 20 minutes. Arrowtown was born out of the 1862 gold rush on the Arrow River. This is an historic town so we visited the old Chinese gold mining section and the Lakes District Museum. Afterward we traveled via Wanaka where the international air show is held and where you also can visit the New Zealand Fighter Museum, on to the Hast Pass and the snow capped peaks of the southern alps. We also saw Thunder Creek Falls on the way to the Fox Glacier, and stayed the night at the Scenic Circle Glacier Hotel.
The 'elites' of the south can keep their big metropolitan lifestyles. The people from my part of Australia love the peace and serenity to which we have grown accustomed. And if the heart of Brisbane does not offer enough to see within walking, biking or river ferry distance, we only have to jump in the car and drive for an hour in any direction, to visit some of the best scenery in the world, in Queensland, The Sunshine State.
If you take a drive north of Brisbane, depending on your route you can pass through Montville, Maleny, Lake Baroon, and all the other attractionsin this area of the Sunshine State of Queensland. All the towns and villages are quite close together. For instance, Steve Irwin Way is the road you need to travel to Austalia Zoo. Noosa, Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach and Caloundra, are on the coast and from there you can travel to Fraser, Bribie and Moreton Islands. Actually, to get to Bribie Island you don't need to take a boat. You can just cross the bridge.
The exact distance from the heart of Brisbane to Lake Baroon is unknown to me, but I can estimate that it is around 90 kilometers. It's a small manmade lake which in parts is at least 34 meters deep. This I know for a fact, because my brother, the penultimate sportsman who never likes to leave anything to chance, has a sonar device installed in the Kayak (our mode of transport for the occasion) that lets him know not just the depth of the water, but where the fish are, and whether or not it is worth the effort to circle the area in an effort to catch something.
Anyway, I was not the kind of child that hung around and did nothing. I had to have my own adventures and make discoveries of this new place we were to call our home away from home. There was a huge Combined British Military Hospital and a Family Hospital attached to it. At first I avoided the Military Hospital, because the nurses and the orderlies who saw me loitering around might question me and then report this to my father who was the officer in charge.
LaPierre's suggestion for federal intervention in Chicago is a good one. Bring in federal police forces to help patrol the violent streets. Make it a national priority to protect the law abiding citizens of Chicago. When the criminals are taken off the streets, the percentage of gun violence will be drastically reduced. This same formula should be used to target other crime and violence plagued cities. Disarm and jail the criminals who use guns, enforce the existing gun laws.

We debated Daniel Levy, one of the founders of J-Street and the drafter of the Geneva Initiative, and the son of Lord Michael Levy, one of Tony Blair's biggest fundraisers; and William Sieghart, a British philanthropist who runs a non-profit that among other things, champions Hamas. Levy has publicly stated that Israel's creation was immoral. And Sieghart has a past record of saying that Israel's delegitimization would be a salutary process and calling for a complete cultural boycott of Israel while lauding Hamas.

US-based Freedom House ranked Israel as the Middle East's only "free" state. Israel's ranking is completely dissimilar to that given the West Bank and Gaza - one under PA control and the other under Hamas rule - which are both classified as "not free."
Instead of rebuilding foreign countries with billions of our tax dollars, we should take those dollars and use them to protect our borders. A border fence would be a stimulus for our economy, create thousands of jobs in the construction industry, and help staunch the flow of drugs
These are not earth-shattering comments from Abbas, a known Holocaust denier. ICE Director John Morton essentially gutted immigration enforcement by issuing a memo on prosecutorial discretion that, in effect, prohibits ICE agents and officers from arresting or removing any but the most violent criminal aliens. Under Morton's stated policy, most of the 12 million or so illegal aliens that the administration wants to legalize are currently safe from deportation.

Governor Huckabee mentioned he was subjected to a security background check while Governor of Arkansas, in order to be allowed access to National Homeland Security information. At the time, he was a sitting Governor, a politician... he had no problem complying with it. In fact he suggested all politicians be subjected to security background checks.

The discrepancy between rank and file Israeli Arabs on one hand and the Israeli Arab parties on the other hand is widening as the Israelization process of Israeli Arabs takes roots. Israeli Arabs are rapidly integrated into Israel's medical, pharmaceutical, banking, industrial, commercial, agricultural, cultural, sports and political infrastructures.
On arrival Haneda International Airport (Tokyo), I was met by our local Japanese shipping agent, who took me by cab to Yokohama. The evening went well for the guests, and the foreigners were as pleased to have been invited, as were the guests to gawk at them. The whole thing must have cost a pretty penny, some or most of which would have been recouped through the Chinese custom of given 'Red Bags' of money. The trick for the Bridal couple is to get more than they paid out. Under normal circumstances they would end up in the black, but on this occasion one could only wonder. The Scene is made up of stones weighing 5,000 tons and the water inside comes from purified lake water with 8 meter falling. The stones, water and wave plowing create a mountainous atmosphere as described by Wang Wei and Meng Haoran "Clear water runs on stones" and "Adventures in the stone gate". When Chen Yu and I finally arrived back at the North Entrance, a group of young people spotted me and began calling out. It turned out that two of them were Chen Yu's students. Once we were in the studio, and without receiving any advice, instruction or prompting whatsoever, I, as the 'first monkey up', or 'first cab off the rank' (whichever expression you like), found myself walking onto the set to be greeted by the presenter. I bowed, greeted her in Chinese, turned to the audience and greeted them, and then, with 'deliberate nonchalance', sat down on the sofa provided. Thank heaven that it was a pre-recorded show and was not 'live to air'. And thankfully when they aired the program they didn't show what happened when I sat down
With the official greetings over, we were presented with a variety of performances from local artists and international guests, including an American man and his family. This family presented a narrative from a Gospel about the birth of Jesus, and then went on to present some musical renditions of Christmas Carols. Another foreigner, who performed a Chinese fan dance, was Helen, a Ukrainian with an American Accent. She is also an English teacher in Dong He District Baotou. We chatted for a little while at the end of the night. The other performances included an Arabian - Chinese dance performed by a group of girls balancing rice bowls while they gyrated around the place. They were all young and beautiful and adept in their craft
My 'less than trusting' Chinese friends (currently scattered far and wide throughout China), are not so excited. They tell me that not only are private schools well known for their abuse of and cheating both foreign and National teachers, but one should not trust a Chinese boss to keep his word. While in fact no one has actually informed me that I will be paid overtime, the provision is in my contract and I don't see how it can be 'forgotten'. I doubt that the franchisee could ever have become such an illustrious business woman (She has businesses in China and in Canada) had she not been an ethical manager
It turns out that Yang Bin attended some special 'Arts' High school where the subjects were song and dance routines, and didn't these guys belt out some fantastic songs. Skinny little dweebie boys with deep, rich voices that would hold their own against any professional out there on the circuit. And then there was the girl. Whew! No point even trying to tell you what she was like. If you are not familiar with Chinese singing stars, then you wouldn't understand how fantastic she was. Even Yang Bin sang a song and later danced the 'Jive' with his 13 year old cousin. He also did a quick Jive with Wu Peipei
The Ancient Roman and Greek Empires are now but ruins. The British Empire which began to bud with Elizabeth I Rex and came into full bloom in the reign of Queen Victoria, is now reduced to just a 'Commonwealth of Nations'. And the Empire of the United States of America? The U.S. is only 400 years old (depending on how you define 'U.S.') whilst England is 1000 years old. Americans would hardly define themselves (at least as far as world politics goes) as an 'Imperial State' or an empire, but if one did, then surely that too would be very young, perhaps no more than 100 years.
But at the peak, the President and the left, are making a concerted effort to demonize gun ownership and put strict gun controls on law abiding American citizens, which includes women. One left wing news publication in New York even went so far as to publish the names and addresses of legal gun owners in areas of New York, as if to shame them. Hagel and Obama ... are looking to take on the US military. They will slash military budgets, they will slash pensions and medical benefits for veterans in order to save a couple dollars and demoralize the military. They will unilaterally disarm the US to the point where America's antiquated nuclear arsenal will become a complete joke.We are in all likelihood going to see a post-American US government squaring off against the first genuinely Jewish Israeli government ever. Since the very Constitution belongs to the people, and not the government, neither the government not its appointed court judges have the power to suspend or abridge those constitutional rights, without the consent of the people, thus finding itself in flagrant breach of the law. But this goes on to show just how these minions of the justice system assume an omnipotence which is way beyond their jurisdiction. Thus judges are not elected persons and do not have more power than those elected to parliament or an assembly, and as such do not have the power to alter the Constitution in any way

The King's Calendar Chronological Reconstruction of Israel's history is unique, in that its' methodology can be scientifically (mathematically) tested and demonstrated to be either true or false... "Archaeology is not an exact science, and deals more often in probabilities and possibilities than in irrefutable demonstrations (Peet. T.E. 1924. p 75).' Archaeologists and historians arbitrarily alter data to suit their pet theories. Fortunately this is not something that the kingscalendar has the luxury of doing The King's Calendar demonstrates that following the synchronisms provided in the Books of Kings and Chronicles does put Jehoash of Israel on the Throne by 806 BCE, thereby making possible the Primary Text reading of the Saba'a Inscription that in Adad-Nirari's 5th year (806/05 BCE), he reached Damascus.

Before the movie, a trailer asked everyone to shut off their cell phones as a courtesy to their neighbors. It only later occurred to me that not only was I unarmed, but also in a compromised state to call for help. Next time, the cell phone gets silenced, not turned off, and if I choose to arm myself, I will. If that results in me being turned away from seeing the movie, so be it. I will respect the theatre owner's 4th Avengement right, but I'll be damned if I ever compromise my 2nd Amendment right ever again! Having a posted "gun free zone" only protects the evil doers, and is the equivalent to caging "sheep" in a wolves' den!
On Christmas Eve 1962, while in Colombo, I got an unexpected invitation to the home of a Burgher family living just outside Colombo to spend Christmas Eve with them. Are there calls for stopping, banning, regulating the use of these mind-altering drugs? Is the pharmaceutical industry being called on the carpet? Annexing Judea and Samaria: The speakers discussed the practical aspects of applying sovereignty: How it should be done, what the status of the Arabs in Judea and Samaria will be, and what are the anticipated reactions from the Arab and Western worlds. The Minister of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs, Yuli Edelstein, also mentioned that even the application of sovereignty over Jerusalem, decades ago, did not make the world accept construction in all parts of the city, so there is no reason to worry about the international response.
The life of Jean-Baptiste Charbonneau was an adventure to say the least. His mother Sacagawea was won in a card game by a Métis trapper who won her from some Ute Indians who had kidnapped her from her village and were going to sell her as a slave. It just happened that the Métis trapper and adventurer from Quebec City named Toussaint Charbonneau met these Indians and began to gamble with them. The Indians kept gambling with Charbonneau and had lost everything, and all they had left was the two Indian girls that they had kidnapped from a nearby Shoshone village, and this too they lost in their card game with Toussaint Charbonneau.

An Arab human rights group based in London accused the Palestinian Authority of inhumane practices and human rights violations against Palestinian civilians. From June 2007 until the end of 2011, PA security forces detained 13,271 Palestinian citizens and 96 percent were subjected to various methods of torture, the report said. This resulted in the death of six detainees and caused "chronic illness" in others. Will We Hear Condemnation from UN?
