Human Rights Charter: Political Correctness: Law of Unintended Consequences: Losing Democracy.
Social Engineering Destroying Democracy
I have written numerous articles about the social engineering of society, political activist agendas, political correctness and politicised multiculturalism, and today I present another.
In the 'Australian' online newspaper today, October 28th 2009, there appears an article written by Chris Merritt and Nicola Berkovic entitled: Rights threat to religious tolerance from which I will quote in part.
AUSTRALIANS who wear a crucifix to work or offer to pray for a patient in hospital could run foul of a charter of rights, according to a British legal expert who says its introduction in this country would trigger an attack on religious expression.
In the 10 years of its existence, the British Human Rights Act had intensified racial and religious tensions, caused widespread community resentment, introduced a degree of uncertainty to the rule of law and been associated with an influx of young, politicised judges, he said.
Senator Hutchins said he feared "social engineers" would try to use a charter to impose their moral views on others.
The article lists two examples of how the Human Rights Charter negatively impacted workers, and one of those cases involved a 'Christian' who was asked to share his Christian faith with a fellow worker, who then made a complaint against him. He was suspended from work, and had it not been for outside intervention, would have been sacked.
In countering the argument that Australia was 10 years behind the rest of the world, Mr. Diamond said: "..it is good to be 10 years behind. I've seen the future and it doesn't work. You can avoid it."
This type of argument about being 'behind the times' is often used, but as my own home state has discovered to it's detriment, 'keeping up with the times' often results in social catastrophe. For example: We were so far behind the times that the new Government years ago, finally decided to allow casino type gambling. Today, they are doing everything they can to undo the social mess that was created.
We were so far behind the times given our 'conservative' drinking laws, that clubs and pubs were allowed extended licenses. Today, we have a huge drinking, brawling and noise problem that no one knows how to fix. They have even tried to have 'curfews' in certain places to stem the problem.
Even the 'Gay Marriage' proposals which most people rejected, were the ultimate result of trying not to be seen as being 'behind the times'.
The social engineering of society, to accommodate 'ideological agendas' which sound so great, usually fall victim to 'The Law of Unintended Consequences'. So when those feeble minded hacks start yelling 'You are behind the times', remember that it is good to be behind the times. It gives you time to see how unintended consequences can foul up even the best laid plan of mice and men.
Today, governments are spending millions of dollars trying to raise educational performance, and trying to remove violence from schools. Perhaps if they chosen to remain 10 or 20 years behind the times, they may have realised that removing corporal punishment from schools, and swapping the three 'R's' for airy fairy academic studies, would lead to a multitude of problems, and had time to 'prepare' for the onslaught.
The Current Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd, is currently investigating ways of controlling the inflow of Islamic immigrants, who use their new found citizenship, to harass us.
We have for many years heard the 'Human Rights' Chant, and as we saw at the beginning of this article, this Human Rights Charter, which is going to do us all a lot of good, does have a down side. Human rights is intrinsically connected to the issues of Multiculturalism, Political Correctness, Immigration, Racism, Xenophobia and Ethnocentricity, as well as Religion, Traditional Culture and Social Mores.
But when the 'rights' of ideologues, social engineers and political activists start impinging on our personal and traditional identity; which is to say, 'our national culture', then it is time to sit back and say 'enough!
Is there some intrinsic value in their ideas? Of Course there is! But I am in agreement with Mr. Diamond. 'It is good to be 10 years behind'.
United Nations Farce: Durban II Apr 17, 2009 I think it is time for us to realise that there is something going on in the United Nations that is working within an agenda far removed from Democratic Principles and Personal Freedoms that we expect.
All forms of abuse are serious, but the least recognised is Emotional Abuse. In the Article entitled: Emotional Abuse and Female Emotional Abusers this issue is examined. It touches upon Religious abuse, Political Activist abuse, Feminist Abuse, Child abuse, and Men who are abused by women.
