Political correctness makes my skin crawl, and yes, from those who take either side of an issue. I have always believed "everything in moderation." That means being nice too. If being nice means someone is obscuring or twisting the truth, there is nothing at all "nice" about that.

Insane ideologues and social engineers
I think it is very important today in this world gone crazy, led about by insane ideologues and social engineers, to take every opportunity to draw attention to every article, event or person that is capable of keeping us from being hypnotised by the insidious social engineering forces at work in the modern world.
With that said, I want to draw your attention to a couple of articles I read this week, and to an email I received from the Author.
As regular visitors to King's Calendar might know, I am a contributing columnist at Magic City Morning Star News in Maine in the United States of America. Recently another columnist (Mr. Doug Wrenn) wrote an article critical of many things about life as it is in America at the moment. That article received a published response, to which Mr. Wrenn replied, and subsequent to which he published a second article.
Many of the points he made are as equally applicable to life in Australia, Canada, and Europe, as they are in America, and so these articles are worth the read. To give you just an idea of the type of things he wrote, allow me to draw your attention to the following:
Tell an off color joke, and you get sent to a class on racial sensitivity.
Tell a sexually explicit joke, and you go to a class for gender sensitivity.
Raise your voice and you go to anger management class.
All of these institutions were created because of extremes, and then became extremes themselves.
Men have been declawed and defanged in our society. (Well, some of them, anyway!)
It is wrong to be forceful, opinionated or confident nowadays. This is part of the erosion of our culture, brought about by liberal political correctness, insidious social experimentation and engineering, and playing a shell game with the sexes.
Women, for the most part, and like it or not, are meant to be nurturing, and men, the protectors. Such are natural human instincts, put in us by God, and for good reason.
Now, we have loving, motherly nurturers playing warrior, and confrontational protectors crying to show their "sensitive, feminine, softer side," and we wonder why everything is in turmoil.
Did we kidnap illegal immigrants? No, we didn't even invite them. They just showed up, kind of like ants at a picnic.
Did we point a gun at them? No, but now they shoot at our Border Patrol, not for dragging them in, but for trying to keep them out.
After I read the articles listed above, I sent Mr. Wrenn an email of support, and the following was his reply:

Thank very much for your very kind sentiments regarding my recent article. Coming from a fellow writer, that especially means very much to me.
You and I are both on the same page. To paraphrase a Biblical saying, it seems that nowadays, it is easier for "a camel to fit through the eye of a needle" than to find someone who speaks plainly, says what he means and means what he says. Political correctness makes my skin crawl, and yes, from those who take either side of an issue. I have always believed "everything in moderation." That means being nice too. If being nice means someone is obscuring or twisting the truth, there is nothing at all "nice" about that. There is a time to be nice, and a time to simply and clearly state the truth, even if it is tough to hear, and maybe, especially when it is tough to hear. At some point, political correctness feminized many, and the truth has been harder to hear from people ever since. I don't ever intend to be a part of that allegedly elite group. They can have their own club without me. I don't need a large group, or even a majority, to be able to discern right from wrong. Political correctness is like a dirty lens in a magnifying glass. It defeats the purpose. It deceives rather than clarifies. With spineless, deceitful, shallow political correctness so rampant and vociferous today, I believe it is much of the reason why morally speaking, many people have lost their way or been led astray. It deceives some and creates cover for others. Contrary to popular belief, it has no redeeming value whatsoever. The voices of political correctness seem to be shouting in vast unison through megaphones, but as long as they do, my lone, little whisper from my little spot in the world will continue to also speak for all it's worth and until it can speak no more.
Yes, I do love my country very much, and that is why it hurts me so deeply to see what is going on around me, much of it supported by many of my fellow countrymen. It is like a bad dream from which I cannot awake. I know I am probably "spitting into the wind," so to speak, but if we lose this battle, and it truly is a battle, I would rather lose from failure than lose from apathy and lethargy. I may only be one man, but many grains of sand make a beach.

Recently I received a couple of emails from Magic City Readers, and in one, the writer questioned why I bother to respond to ignorant people. I informed that person that while I know that it is fruitless to try and convince deliberately ignorant people of the folly of their ways, it is nevertheless true that if we do not stand up and be counted, and counter ignorance in the public spheres, then we are contributing to the lies which the public comes to believe.
We are constantly manipulated by a variety of activist agendas, and unless those of us who refuse to fall victim to that manipulation, stand up and raise our voices in opposition, the vast majority of 'dumb sheep' will just follow the mob.
We have over many weeks read many statements made by Hamas in Palestine, that appear to paint that terror organisation in a nice light, but when those who prefer truth to political correctness push deeper, the real truth gets discovered. Mahmoud Zahar, the new Palestinian foreign minister, for instance recently wrote, "we look forward to live in peace and security and for our people to live a dignified life in freedom and independence, side by side with our neighbors in this sacred part of the world".
It sounded great, but was sheer B.S. By neighbours, he did not mean Israel.
Political Correctness, and its' many allies use just this type of lying manipulative yet beautiful language to deceive, side step issues, and mislead entire populations in relation to issues concerning which the general population has the right to be given explicit and definitive information and explanation.
I encourage those of you who read this article, to go to Magic City and read the articles quoted above, and become aware of the many and nuanced ways in which activists try to deceive you.
Abuse
All forms of abuse are serious, but the least recognised is Emotional Abuse. In the Article entitled: Emotional Abuse and Female Emotional Abusers this issue is examined. It touches upon Religious abuse, Political Activist abuse, Feminist Abuse, Child abuse, and Men who are abused by women.
Women are responsible for more than half of all child abuse cases in Queensland and are much more likely to neglect their children than men, a new report has found
It is important, in safeguarding our children, to know which groups of men put children at most risk of abuse. The study documented that of the 26 percent of males who abuse children sexually, 30 percent are stepfathers, 24 percent are adoptive fathers, and 20 percent are the mothers' boyfriends. None of these were the biological fathers of the children. Together, these groups represent three-fourths of the abusing males in our society.
A basic tenet of feminist theory is its view of intimate violence as a manifestation of our culture's "patriarchal" structure, with its attendant differential status, power, and control, which are reflected in individuals' attitudes and behaviours. Dobash et al. (1998, 1992) propose that gender asymmetry in partner violence reflects a context of gender inequality both within the household and in the larger society. Their research program conceptualizes men as perpetrators and women as victims, but it fails to provide comparative findings on woman-to-man verbal and physical abuse to validate these gendered patterns.

I constantly rail against all those wonderful apparently 'human loving' individuals who in their 'alleged' love for humanity would not hesitate to commit murder at the drop of a hat because they are just so damn sure of the righteousness of their cause and their actions. If you look at the history of totalitarianism in the 20th century, you will see that the first step in the long march to success, is to rip apart the traditional fabric of society. The politically correct who want to control our thoughts and actions, have already made sure that their own 'personal' objections to minority culture have already been excised
We live in a (western secular) world that while doing its' best to remove God and Religion from our lives, nevertheless, constantly preaches 'morality'. This might seem a strange concept, but in fact, we are constantly being pushed to accept certain 'moral norms', based solely on the basis that someone, some group, or some Political Party has endorsed the issue and formalised it in law
Yesterday, Wednesday November 14th, 2012 at about 11am Beijing Time or about dawn in Israel, I published an article at Kingscalendar asking why Israel does not fight back. This morning (7 am Beijing Time) I read that Israel had commenced operations against Gaza. Tonight (6.15pm Beijing Time) as I sit in China reading world news I am disgusted by what I see.
What other country in history has ever been required to provide all the basic necessities to enable their enemy to attack and murder them? Until Israel wakes up to the fact that no one really cares about Israel or Jews; until Israel wakes up that Political Correctness is just a tool by which people can hide their true feelings whilst showing a compassionate face, then Israel is doing nothing more than committing slow suicide. No one cares! No one wants Israel there! They all want to lick the boots of Activist Agendas and Arab Oil and they believe that Israel is worth sacrificing if it means peace from terrorism (but it won't).
Mingxing's company had booked him into the upmarket Kempinski Hotel in Wuxi and he organized and paid for one extra day so that we could go sightseeing. There are two photos in Part one that relate to the Kempinski Hotel Room, but this photo is of the lavish foyer of the Hotel as taken from the first floor landing above the coffee shop. Whilst the Big Buddha is the 'centerpiece' so to speak, the real spectacular is to be found in the Cultural Museum. This place is one helluva spectacular place inside. It sits directly opposite the replica of the Potala Palace, and when you enter you are required to put coverings over your shoes. I suspect that the real reason is to cut down on the cleaning bill. This place was crowded and all those people shuffling along wearing shoe protectors gave the marble floor a really high sheen.
