Pope Benedict, Catholic Church, Rome: Islam: Jerusalem: Middle East Conflict: ShoahPope Gregory's speech honed in on one aspect of history, the decadence and fall of the Roman Empire.. The Roman Empire fell because it corrupted from within. By firstly becoming morally bankrupt to the point that even though Rome became a Theocratic state, in rejecting the former national traditions and the then current Christian Laws of God, every man and prelate sought his own pleasure and satisfaction. But when a country and its' traditions, culture, religion and moral values, are subverted from within by the deception, stupidity, ego or political and social avarice of those with no inherent patriotic love of country, the crime, for that is what it is, is not that of the perpetrators, but of the dull witted and lame of spirit, who tainted with fear or complacency, allow the benefits of their lives to be denied their heirs.
In an article entitled: 'Pope attacks 'culture of death' at first baptisms : Benedict also compares excesses of Roman Empire to today's society' From Reuters : Jan. 8, 2006, space was given to a public speech made by Pope Benedict XVI during a Baptismal Service in the Vatican in Rome, in which the Pontiff, discarding his prepared speech, spoke from the heart about Modern Society and its 'Culture of Death'.
The article says: "Pope Benedict, abandoning his prepared sermon, compared the wild excesses of the ancient Roman empire to 21st century society and urged people to rediscover their faith. (saying) "The anti-culture of death was a love of lies and of deceit".
Pope Benedict XVI in one quick lesson, has spoken from the heart, on two important matters that I have raised many times at King's Calendar and Magic City, namely;
1. If we don't learn from the lessons of History we are doomed to repeat them - and -
2. Saint Paul in the First Chapter of the Book of Romans makes it quite clear, that godlessness has its' roots in the deliberately chosen dark path of deceit and lies, because people choose to live by arrogance, raising themselves above the rank of 'God'.
Pope Gregory's speech honed in on one aspect of history, the decadence and fall of the Roman Empire.
This is a timely reminder for us, for we stand on the threshold of seeing our own 'European Judeo/Christian Empires' falling apart at the seams. This is neither hyperbole nor understatement. If we do not learn from the Lessons of History, we will repeat the errors of History.
We face today, the very real possibility of Christendom's fall, if not by the Islamic sword, then by reason of our own neglect of it. Furthermore, the very tangible causes of both possibilities, can be found in the religious warnings issued by Saul of Tarsus in the Book of Romans Chapter One, wherein he points out, that when people turn the truth of God into a lie, their minds are given over (become) darkened; and becoming lovers only of themselves, they turn to all manner of unnatural acts.
I've heard many an Evangelical quote from Chapter One of the Book of Romans, but have never heard one get past their cultural cringe at the mention of Homosexuality. When you read past that point however, you can see that the biggest pitfall for the Christian is not homosexuality, but all those character faults that turn nice people into feral animals.
Our current western socio-political world, has today been taken over and is being run by rabid dogs in the guise of human flesh, who, in their pride and arrogance, and willingness to usurp the place of God and all that is traditionally and culturally plainly obvious, have turned every truth into a lie; and being darkened in their minds as a result, are completely blind to everything that commonsense dictates; and drunk with power and all the while sated with the benefits of their hedonistic agendas, they constantly threaten, punish and abuse those amongst us who are unwilling to passively facilitate the genocide of European Culture and Democratic Tradition.
The Roman Empire fell because it corrupted from within. By firstly becoming morally bankrupt to the point that even though Rome became a Theocratic state, in rejecting the former national traditions and the then current Christian Laws of God, every man and prelate sought his own pleasure and satisfaction; thus paving the way for every duty ultimately to be avoided and renounced, until finally, by failing to militarily hold at bay the hordes who sought their gilded treasures, their empire died; it's people robbed, raped, pillaged and enslaved.
We are in the same position today.
We prefer sycophantic lies and political philosophies to plain truth
We punish those who dare to disagree with our political agendas
We support leaders and regimes who ultimately care only for their own personal health, wealth and power
We despise the traditions of our forefathers
Replace them with traditions gleaned from 'alien cultures'
We reject our traditional religion
We despise and abuse those who hold true to traditional religious morals and values
We support any cause or call that satisfies our pockets, bellies and ego's
But most of all, we despise our own countries
When over time, a nation transforms from what it was into something that it was not, and this by natural causes and chance happenings of history; and the traditions and culture of the people metamorphose by common consent, no man can gainsay it.
General Observations on the Fall of the Roman Empire in the West
"The warlike states of antiquity, Greece, Macedonia, and Rome, educated a race of soldiers; exercised their bodies, disciplined their courage, multiplied their forces by regular evolutions, and converted the iron which they possessed into strong and serviceable weapons. But this superiority insensibly declined with their laws and manners; and the feeble policy of Constantine and his successors armed and instructed, for the ruin of the empire, the rude valour of the Barbarian mercenaries."
The story of its ruin is simple and obvious; and, instead of inquiring why the Roman empire was destroyed, we should rather be surprised that it had subsisted so long. The victorious legions, who, in distant wars, acquired the vices of strangers and mercenaries, first oppressed the freedom of the republic, and afterward violated the majesty of the purple. The emperors, anxious for their personal safety and the public peace, were reduced to the base expedient of corrupting the discipline which rendered them alike formidable to their sovereign and to the enemy; the vigor of the military government was relaxed, and finally dissolved, by the partial institutions of Constantine; and the Roman world was overwhelmed by a deluge of Barbarians.
Do We Really want to make this same mistake again?
But if we learn from history and we assess our options, we will see that history needn't repeat itself. It is within our power to reverse the course of our all too repetitious past.

About the KingsCalendar Publisher
R.P.BenDedek is the owner and Editor of KingsCalendar.com which was originally set up to publicize his research results into the Chronology of Ancient Israel. Those results were published under the title: 'The King's Calendar: The Secret of Qumran'.
Whilst there have been many attempts to solve the chronological riddle of the Bible's synchronisms of reigns of the kings of Israel and Judah and their synchronism with other Ancient Near Eastern Nations, no other research is based on a simple mathematical formula which could, if it is incorrect, be disproved easily. To date, no one has been able to dismiss the mathematical results of this research.
Free to air Academic articles set forth Apologetics for and results of his discovery of an "artificial chronological scheme" running through the Bible, Josephus, the Damascus Documents of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Seder Olam Rabbah.
During the current economic downturn, this book has been dramatically reduced in price but will eventually rise as the economy improves.
