Copenhagen Emissions Treaty: United Nations deception: Global Warning Myths: Neo-Cons and Neo Nazis: Alan Jones, Andrew Bolt: This draft treaty,.. calls for the creation of a new "board" of global warming bureaucrats.. this new world body could impose "penalties and fines on non-compliance of developed country parties" such as Australia that failed to honour "commitments to ... provide support in the form of financial resources, technology transfer and capacity building".
As stand-in editor at Magic City Morning Star News in Maine USA I get to read a lot of articles that might otherwise never cross my path. When the article below was drawn to my attention, I just knew I also had to draw attention to it. If you read "Global Warming Myth" you will understand why.
In this first article I merely provide you with some quotes from Andrew Bolt's articles. I do hope you proceed to read the article in full.
NEXT month Kevin Rudd flies to Copenhagen to help seal a United Nations deal to cut the world's emissions - and to make Australia hand over part of its wealth ... an astonishing $7 billion a year to a new and unelected global authority? ... a draft treaty which also gives that unelected authority the power to fine us billions of dollars more if it doesn't like our green policies?
Here is paragraph 33 of annex 1,
"By 2020 the scale of financial flows to support adaptation in developing countries must be [at least USD 67 billion] [in the range of USD 70-140 billion] per year."
Paragraph 17 of annex III E, developed countries such as Australia should "compensate for damage" to the economies of poorer countries "and also compensate for lost opportunities, resources, lives, land and dignity" allegedly caused by our gases.
Paragraph 22, objective 41, of annex 1 of this extortion note: "[Financial resources of the Convention Adaptation Fund"] [may] [shall] include: (a) [Assessed contributions [of at least 0.7% of the annual GDP of developed country parties] ... "
... deeper in the draft our bill for our "historical climate debt, including adaptation debt" climbs to at "at least [0.5-1 per cent of GDP]".
Australia's GDP is about $1000 billion a year... 0.7 per cent of our annual wealth works out to $7 billion a year...all funnelled through the UN, which brought us such fast-money wheezes as the Oil-for-Food corruption scandal.
This draft treaty,.. calls for the creation of a new "board" of global warming bureaucrats.. this new world body could impose "penalties and fines on non-compliance of developed country parties" such as Australia that failed to honour "commitments to ... provide support in the form of financial resources, technology transfer and capacity building".
All this gives a remote and unelected world body a huge and unprecedented say in how we run our own economy and our foreign affairs...
Likewise, if it [Australia] stopped handing over technological breakthroughs to a China or some African leader it no longer trusted, it could be fined again.
Even the United States, the biggest donor of all, could not stop the corruption at UNESCO two decades ago,.. Nor could it stop dictatorships such as Libya and Cuba from later holding key roles in the UN's human rights bodies.
... the industrialised nations which pay most could hold just one of the nine seats on the body which will then spend their cash. Our cash.
why hasn't this been the subject of furious debate? Where's the Government? Where's the Opposition?
CONSPIRACY theorists on both sides of the climate change debate could do worse than have a cup of tea, a Bex and a good lie down ahead of next week's Copenhagen summit. That should give them time to realise that the atmospherics around global warming have shifted dramatically.
For the first time in the 17 years since the "Earth summit" in Rio de Janeiro, there is a chance for more questioning of the science of global warming. Scepticism is no longer out of order -- and thanks to the political debates around the world, people have a more sophisticated understanding of the issues.
The second thoughts on climate are coming from both sides.... We have seen the parliament of a Western nation state like Australia vote against a scheme to reduce carbon emissions, while James Hansen, the guru of global warming, has denounced Copenhagen as a farce.
From a link provided in a comment section at King's Calendar, I spent some time reading about announcer Alan Jones and his alleged incitement to racism in Australia, and from there, to check out Andrew Bolt. I remember having in the past written something in relation to something he said. (Can't remember exactly).
As I have in the past a vivid recollection of some of Alan Jones' comments, I already have an opinion of him, but had no such idea of Andrew Bolt. But as I was researching and reading it occurred to me that so many of the obnoxious people in the world, are prone to frequently using such terms as "xenophobia, Neo-Nazi, Neocon, Leftist, Rightist & Centrist.
And then it struck me that quite frequently, when I begin to read something that immediately starts with accusations in which such terms are used, I generally tend to quit reading before finishing the article.
So tonight I was just wondering why that was. I have a confession to make. While I have an idea what a 'Neo-nazi' is, I actually don't know what the other words mean. What's more, I have no desire to find out.
Now I am sure that such terms have a literary meaning and purpose, but it seems to me, that the people who use them, (being as I have stated - the sort of people whose words turn me off), are people who are unable to enter into true dialogue.
True Dialogue requires one to listen to, think upon, and reply to the other persons comments. It requires that you 'examine an issue' at hand. But the types who resort to 'branding people' according to some sort of pre-established definition, are incapable of true discussion, for they have no interest in the 'issue at hand'. Their prime concern is to berate the 'other', based upon their own philosophically determined boundaries that require that they must be right and the other must be wrong.
What a sad indictment of society, when there is no such thing as true dialogue, only the jostling for the pre-eminence of a philosophical power base.
As for Andrew Bolt? Seems like a nice guy who doesn't put up with Crap, while at the same time, prepared to discuss 'issues', not political agendas.
Ah well! That's my opinion. You are welcome to yours.

About the KingsCalendar Publisher
R.P.BenDedek is the owner and Editor of KingsCalendar.com which was originally set up to publicize his research results into the Chronology of Ancient Israel. Those results were published under the title: 'The King's Calendar: The Secret of Qumran'.
Whilst there have been many attempts to solve the chronological riddle of the Bible's synchronisms of reigns of the kings of Israel and Judah and their synchronism with other Ancient Near Eastern Nations, no other research is based on a simple mathematical formula which could, if it is incorrect, be disproved easily. To date, no one has been able to dismiss the mathematical results of this research.
Free to air Academic articles set forth Apologetics for and results of his discovery of an "artificial chronological scheme" running through the Bible, Josephus, the Damascus Documents of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Seder Olam Rabbah.
During the current economic downturn, this book has been drastically reduced in price but will eventually rise as the economy improves.

SYDNEY faces a summer lockdown as beaches, the CBD and whole suburbs are flooded with police armed with new powers in their fight against threats of violence after the Cronulla riots.
Behind a facade of peaceful but almost-deserted beaches at the weekend, mounting arrests and seizures of weapons, cars, phones and bomb-making materials painted a disturbing picture of determined violence by isolated groups and individuals across several ethnic groups.
One of seven men arrested with petrol bombs had travelled from Melbourne to become involved in Sydney's spate of racial violence, police said.
The man was aboard a bus travelling to Bondi when the driver smelled petrol and alerted authorities. Police boarded the bus to arrest the Melbourne man and another man found in possession of petrol bombs.
Police said five other men were arrested with petrol bombs in Brighton-le-Sands yesterday afternoon, leading to a police lockdown of the southern suburb which meant only residents could enter it. The lockdown was the first imposed under new police powers passed in the NSW Parliament last week.
The five "white supremacists" were arrested in Brighton-le-Sands carrying a 25-litre drum of petrol and equipment to make petrol bombs and were wearing military equipment including Kevlar vests. They also had police scanners and portable radios.
WHEN Tim Longhurst read about a racist SMS campaign calling people to Cronulla Beach last weekend, he decided to start his own campaign to promote a more positive message about Sydney's racial diversity.
He soon teamed up with other young people dismayed by the beach violence, and within a week, using email and telephones, they had organised a peaceful event in the city, which yesterday attracted more than 1000 people. "What we saw today wasn't new," he said. "Sydney has always been a place where people do get along, and today they came out in force to show that."
With the help of Matt Noffs, of the Ted Noffs Foundation, attendance was bolstered by a rally organised by the National Union of Students earlier in the day at the Town Hall.
The union's anti-racism officer, Osmond Chiu, said most people were "shocked, disgusted and fearful" of the violence in Cronulla and in the days that followed.
