The blast took place as worshippers were leaving the mosque in the al-Rashidiya neighbourhood following Friday prayers. There has been an uptick in violence lately between Shiites and Sunni Arabs. - No international condemnation or outcry? Just imagine the international response if this was Israeli attack!
Hamas movement has rejected a revised Middle East peace initiative put forward by the Arab League. Arab states appeared to soften their 2002 peace plan, acknowledging that Israelis and Palestinians may have to swap land in any eventual peace deal. "The so-called new Arab initiative is rejected by our people, by our nation(?) and no one can accept it," Haniyeh, prime minister of the Hamas government in the coastal enclave, said. "The initiative contains numerous dangers to our people in the occupied land of 1967, 1948 and to our people in exile." He was referring to the partition of British-mandate Palestine in 1948 when the United Nations voted to divide the territory into a Jewish state and an Arab state.

The new war room will be manned 24 hours a day by some 20 soldiers who graduated from the IDF Cyber Shield course. The war room will allow the IDF to monitor and respond to any hacking attempt at all levels - from tank computers to the IDF chief of staff's personal computer. The information technology unit was initially established about ten years ago in order to ensure proper security levels for computers in the IDF and other security organizations and to provide encryption for important information, and to ensure smooth running of the IDF electronic data systems.
President Obama was misinformed by his advisors. The suggestion that Israel should concede Jewish geography, in order to secure Jewish demography, ignores demographic trends in Israel, in the Muslim world in general and west of the Jordan River in particular. The abduction of 21 Philippine members of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), which has monitored a ceasefire zone between Syria and Israelsince 1974, has heightened security fears. Thirteen years ago, researchers at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum began the grim task of documenting all the ghettos, slave labor sites, concentration camps and killing factories that the Nazis set up throughout Europe. The researchers have cataloged some 42,500 Nazi ghettos and camps throughout Europe, spanning German-controlled areas from France to Russia and Germany itself, during Hitler's reign of brutality from 1933 to 1945...... Scores of violent Arab students forced the British Consul General, Sir Vincent Fean, to make a hasty departure from a university in Ramallah, where he came to deliver a lecture on Britain's policy in the Middle East and the prospects for peace. A consulate official confirmed that Fean was unable to deliver his prepared address due to the riots. Ethnocentrism -- judging other cultures by one's own standards -- is morally wrong, especially when motivated by superiority complex or racism. Benevolent ethnocentrism -- the assumption that other cultures are ready to embrace one's own standards and worldview - is morally flawed and strategically self-destructive. This reflects a superficial view of global complexity and undermines one's posture of deterrence in a world of intensifying disorder, and increasing hostility towards Western values. Free World leaders should not assume that cardinal democratic values such as life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, peaceful coexistence, and the belief that all men are created equal, could be adopted by most non-democratic cultures.
A young woman, Naomi Oni 20, was facially disfigured and almost lost her eyesight in a horrific unprovoked acid attack on the streets of London. She was on her way home from work when an unknown attacker dressed in a niqab threw a chemical substance at her, leaving the retail assistant with severe burns on her head, neck, arms, legs and body..... On 29 Nov, 1947 the UN General Assembly adopted resolution 181, which divided the remaining 18% of the Jewish Land to six unmanageable triangles with Jerusalem to be controlled by a "special international regime", inviting Arabs to attack and finish what Nazi Europe started! Israel became the first nation to skip a UN review of its human rights record without giving a reason - and then won a precedent-setting deferral. US diplomats have said the council is too focused on Israel. Israel, meanwhile, said last year that it would stop cooperating with the council. Israel has gone through one review before in 2008, when many delegations demanded it recognise and respect Palestinians' right to self-determination and a homeland. Egyptian security forces in the Sinai Peninsula intercepted a shipment of American-made anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles destined for the Gaza Strip. Late last month an attempt was made to smuggle 17 French-made TDI model rockets into the Gaza.
Yasser Arafat's widow, Suha, admitted that the late Palestinian leader planned the second intifada immediately after the failure of the Camp David, because he refused to negotiate. He said to her "I am going to start an intifada. They want me to betray the Palestinian cause. They want me to give up on our principles, and I will not do so." Her comments run contrary to claims that former prime minister Ariel Sharon's infamous visit to the Temple Mount triggered the intifada, which international media was eagerly propagated. It is not a revelation, but it is nice to see confirmation of what we already knew. This interview, not surprisingly, has not been shown by international media bigots!
An Arab human rights group based in London accused the Palestinian Authority of inhumane practices and human rights violations against Palestinian civilians. From June 2007 until the end of 2011, PA security forces detained 13,271 Palestinian citizens and 96 percent were subjected to various methods of torture, the report said. This resulted in the death of six detainees and caused "chronic illness" in others. Will We Hear Condemnation from UN?
Although Hamas agreed to a cease-fire with Israel, this did not mean that the movement has relinquished the "resistance to achieve the liberation of Palestine. Hamas's Minister for Prisoners Affairs, Atallah Abu al-Sabah, said that in the next war between Hamas and Israel, many Israelis will flee their country. Sabah stated that while "Palestinian fighters fought with a strong belief and high morale, the Israeli soldier fought with a defeatist spirit (he is probably right here, but this is due to Israeli governments' lack of vision and self-destructive policies). The fabric of Israeli society has been torn apart in the face of the resistance's strength". Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal said that "the resistance will soon occur in the West Bank too" and although Hamas agreed to a cease-fire with Israel, this did not mean that the movement has relinquished the "resistance to achieve the liberation of Palestine."

In contrast, it is significant to note that today, as a coercive preservation policy is imposed in Gettysburg, the community has seen the near destruction of its once vital downtown where private businesses are being forced out. Many parts of downtown now are void of significant businesses like clothing shops or hardware stores. Republican President Eisenhower won 36% (1952) and 40% (1956) of the Jewish vote on the coattails of his role in crushing Nazi Germany and liberating Jews from the concentration camps. Republican President Reagan received 39% of the Jewish vote in 1980, benefitting from his close ties with the Jewish community and from President Carter's negative record on Israel. This week's meeting between Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal highlighted their common strategic goal, despite their bitter rivalry in recent years: The PLO's Phased Plan aimed at the establishment of a Palestinian state in all of what was Palestine within the Ottoman/British Mandate borders. Abbas (who is both the chairman of the PLO, established in 1964, and Fatah, established in 1959) told the U.N. General Assembly last year that the highest Palestinian authority was the PLO, and that the "occupation" began in 1948 and not in 1967.
The principle of the Waqf land is permanent, and transcends leaders and policies which are provisional. It applies to any land that was ever under Islamic control. It is an inseparable part of the legacy of Muhammad and Islamic law, especially at this time of the surge by the trans-national Muslim Brotherhood, which views Allah, the Koran, the Prophet Muhammad, jihad and martyrdom as the goal, the law, the leader, the way and the exalted aspiration respectively. Their loyalty to the Waqf land obligates Muslims to "holy wars" and the restoration of sovereignty in the Philippines, Thailand, parts of China, Kashmir, Chechnya, Israel, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Spain, Portugal and elsewhere.
Driven by ideology and greed, Iran, Syria, Hizballah, Hamas and additional Palestinian, Arab and Islamic terror organizations have targeted the US throughout the globe and on the mainland, establishing beachheads in Central and South America and setting sleeper cells in the US and in Canada. According to the CIA Factbook, Iran's fertility rate has plummeted to 1.9 babies per woman, Jordan - 3.4, Egypt - 2.97, Syria - 2.94, Saudi Arabia - 2.3, North Africa - 2, etc. Israel's Jewish fertility rate - 3 births per woman and trending upward due to the secular fertility surge - is higher than all Arab countries, other than the Sudan (4.9), Yemen (4.6), Iraq (3.7) and Jordan (3.4). Demographic precedents indicate that there is a slim probability that high fertility rates can be resurrected following a sustained period of significant reduction.
1 Kings 22:47 states that there was no King (but a deputy) in Edom during Jehoshaphat's reign but the Septuagint (3 Kings 16:28 ) reads 'Syria' not Edom. According to Bright, ( 1981, p.274) 'Aram' and 'Edom' look nearly the same in Hebrew. In understanding the situation in Syria at this particular juncture in Israel's history, the fact that 1 Kings 22:47 may be read as a reference to Syria, is important to the understanding of the political situation during the reign of Jehoshaphat (and therefore Ahab) between 880 BCE. and 858 BCE. The more coherent rendering (from the perspective of the King's Calendar Artificial Calendar) would be that it was Syria (Aram) that was ruled by a deputy during Jehoshaphat's reign (or part thereof) and it may be possible to provide indication of this by assessing the military strength of Syria at this time, as presented in the biblical narratives, with particular emphasis on the person of Ben-Hadad.
When was Solomon's Temple built? Even the year of the Destruction of Solomon's Temple is not yet positively known and many claim the Bible Stories are False but the Bible Synchronisms for the Divided Kingdom of Israel are totally accurate when one calculates 490 years backward in history using the Kingscalendar artificial construct.
The answer is simple: 'The Bible must not be trustworthy!' But we must also ask, "Just how trustworthy are opinions and the records upon which secular academics rely?" In both 848 BCE and 845 BCE the coalition of Syro-Phoenician kings successfully withstood Shalmaneser of Assyria and the Assyrian records for both events name Ben-Hadad as leader of the coalition. In 841 BCE however, only one king withstood the Assyrians, and that was King Hazael of Damascus. There is no actual evidence that Hazael of Damascus commenced to reign in 842 / 841 BCE. There is no actual evidence that King Ahab of Israel died circa 853 BCE. One must understand that Ben-Hadad's name may not have been inserted into the record until decades after the battle; and additionally, the name itself is not a personal name that could identify a particular person. The 'name' Ben-Hadad may well have been recorded as the generic name for the specific individual - Hazael
Amos 1:1 refers to visions - "two years before the earthquake" - concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel. The discovery by Tel Aviv University scientists that a major earthquake (over 7 on the Richter scale) took place on the Golan Heights in the year 749 CE is significant. Josephus in Antiquities Book 9 Chapter 10:4 says that a great earthquake shook the ground and a rent was made in the temple, and the bright rays of the sun shone through it, and fell upon the king's face, insomuch that the leprosy seized upon him immediately.
Since Athaliah then 'destroyed all the royal family of the house of Judah' (2 Chronicles 22:10), it is obvious that Jehu was not completely successful. One wonders if Jehosheba was in fact Athaliah's daughter, and that those royals murdered by Athaliah, were not in fact all those who were not 'her' blood relations.

From 849 BCE. to 756 BCE, Athaliah to Uzziah & Jehu to Jeroboam II of Israel and Adad-Nirari III Western Campaigns. According to current chronology, Adad-Nirari III commenced a series of western campaigns (toward Syria / Palestine) between 805 BCE. and 803 BCE. although Miller & Hayes, [1986, p.298] place this at 796 BCE. The Saba'a Inscription mention of Adad-Nirari's 5th year (806/05 BCE), appears to indicate that it was in that year that he reached Damascus. We sometimes tend to think that our knowledge of history is based on irrefutable evidence, but as pointed out by Sir Alan Gardiner (1961) in reference to Egyptian History, our knowledge is based in a collection of rags and tatters.

Despite our general disdain for King Ahab, the Encyclopaedia Judaica, provides an interesting summary of Ahab's Reign, that provides a far better picture of him as a king, than does the biblical narrative. King Ahab is best remembered as the husband of Queen Jezebel. It was during his reign that Elijah the prophet was quite busy slaying false prophets and running from Queen Jezebel.
What I suggest, is either that the 7 months of 1 Samuel 6:2 was originally "70 years", and/or that the 20 years listed in 1 Samuel 7:2, is an insertion based on an attempt to chronologise the period from Samuel to David's 7th year, and should read 70 years... Despite the way the story is contextually situated following 2 Samuel Chapter 5 & 6 in relation to battles with the Philistines, these verses can lead one to consider that in fact the Ark was returned after 70 years, and this, probably because David, who used to work for the Five Lords of the Philistines, was now King of Israel.
Reference to King Saul in 1 Samuel 13:1, is corrupt. 1 Samuel 13:1 literally reads: "Saul was a year old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years over Israel". (Miller & Hayes, 1986, p.129) Despite this, the King's Calendar has been able to fairly accurately determine when King Saul commenced his reign. The matter of determining any of these events when using standard solar year calculations are enormous, because not only do Biblical Dates not match up with known history, but are quite obviously 'self-contradictory'.
The simple answer to the question of how long Ehud judged Israel is to be found in the Book of Judges Chapter 3 verse 30. The answer is '80 years'. Unfortunately this figure is conspicuously incorrect, if only because the total figures provided in the book of Judges for the Period of the Judges, is excessive of the time frame provided in 1 Kings 6:1, for both the Period of the Judges and the Monarchy of Israel to the 4th year of King Solomon.
But what of the issue of the Pharaoh who did not drown in the Red Sea? Well, there is a pretty simple answer to that one. Do you remember the story of the Patriarch Joseph? He made it to second in charge of Egypt, with recognition, might and power second only to the Pharaoh himself; and when Pharaoh was busy, it was Joseph who took his place. According to the King's Calendar chronology, The Mosaic Exodus occurred at the time that Amenhotep II became Pharaoh. Upon his accession to the throne, it is recorded that he took off for parts unknown in conquest of the universe. During that time, his grandvizier Rekhmire took his place.
A Jewish woman in Isfahan, Iran, was murdered and cut in half by Muslims who wanted to take over her home. Relatives of the woman said she had lived next to a newly built mosque, and worshipers had demanded that she and her family leave their home so the mosque could be expanded. The victims are still being denied justice despite the tougher penalties introduced last year and they say the number of attacks is on the increase. A 16-year-old Moroccan girl, who was forced by her family and judge to marry her rapist committed suicide. Article 475 of the Moroccan penal code allows for the "kidnapper" of a minor to marry his victim to restore the honour of the woman's family and escape prosecution. A government study last year found that about 25% of Moroccan women have been sexually assaulted at least once in their lives. Some 500 to 2,000 British schoolgirls will be genitally mutilated over the summer holidays - leaving brutal physical and emotional scars. Yet there have been no prosecutions against the practice. Female genital mutilation (FGM) is widely common in African countries. Most people are unaware that this brutality is also practiced in Pakistan and other Muslim countries.
More than 80 IDF soldiers and reservists signed a petition of support for a military commander who was filmed in a physical altercation with a Danish anti-Israel activist. According to a survey by the PA Central Bureau of Statistics, 58.1 percent of women in Gaza have suffered violence from their husbands. Accurate statistics on honour crimes in PA and Hamas run enclaves are not available. The IDF oversees the shipment of 6,000 tons of food, fuel, merchandise and building material to Gaza every day as flotilla leaders allege a 'blockade' exists. A British national, killed after an explosion ripped through a bus stop in Jerusalem, was an evangelical Christian who was studying Hebrew. Mary Jean Gardner, 59, Bible translator, originally from Orkney in Scotland, was killed by the blast and about 50 people were injured in the attack, which was blamed on Palestinian terrorists.
