Life is too short to spend bemoaning all the opportunities missed; all the injustices done you and all the mistakes you intentionally or inadvertently made. Life is also too short to spend your time trying to justify yourself to people who only want to find fault in you. If and when you have an opportunity to restore a relationship then you should do so. But - When you keep suffering because of certain people or certain behaviors, it is time to board the train and go see the sights elsewhere - and leave your baggage back at the train station.
This article was first published Aug 21, 2013 at Magic City Morning Star News under the title: Get rid of your Baggage People
There was once a man traveling through Europe who found that he had many hours to wait between his hotel check out time in Rome and the departure time for his train. Dragging behind him two large heavy suitcases off he went to walk the streets of Rome, suffering from both the heat and the weight of his baggage. On another occasion he had time to kill in Berlin and once again suffered the heat and the weight of his baggage as he walked around seeing what sights there were to be seen. On another occasion while he was staying in the City of Nice in France, he decided to take a quick trip to Monaco before taking the train back to Paris. And once again he loaded himself down with his heavy baggage and wandered the streets of yet another city. Having done this time and time again, he complained to all his friends about how much he had suffered - and of course he did suffer.
But what an idiot he was. Like so many other people he was afraid to go anywhere without his baggage. It would have been quite easy to stow his baggage away in a locker at the railway station, but he 'needed' the security of knowing that his baggage was always at his beck and call. While we might all consider the man to have been stupid, the reality is that many of us are just like him - we like to keep our (emotional) baggage within easy reach.
Recently I had email communication with a Christian whose manner of communication raised 'red flags' on my end. I am going to freely admit to have been anything but charitable with him, but I simply did not like what I perceived to be his 'self-righteousness superiority.' He tried his best to get me to agree with him but I couldn't, but I also had no wish to explain or justify my religious beliefs.
In my final email to him I wrote:
I never sat under teaching without coming across The lying Pastor -- the Thief Pastor -- The rapist pastor -- the child molester pastor -- the drug addict pastor -- the adulterer pastor all of whom were great bible teachers. I learned not to trust my relationship with God to any man no matter what credentials he has, no matter what people say of him and no matter what he preaches.
(These are the most serious and true examples of different Christian ministers from different denominations that I have encountered in my life. There were others with less serious behavior)
His final response was to tell me that he did not wish to further correspond with me and added that he would pray for my healing. The man obviously assumed that I was full of bitterness and anger and he probably thought that he was being a good Christian by telling me that he would pray for me, but within the context of all his correspondence I figure he was just being 'self-righteous.' If you want to pray for a person - then pray for them. But here's the rub.
Einstein is purported to have said: 'Insanity is when you do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result'. The 'pastors' I mentioned above, were real people; people who did their best to get me to believe and do as they did. In each of those cases 'prior to being caught out in their sins,' each of those pastors spoke ill of me, slandered me and did their best to control and manipulate people I knew. They did me a lot of injury and caused me a lot of grief.
As I know that I am not insane, I have no intention of repeating former behavior with the expectation of seeing a different result. It doesn't matter how many wonderful Christians and Christian ministers there are out there, I have been burned too many times to stick my hand back in those fires. But I do not carry those experiences around with me as emotional baggage. I do not spend my time complaining about the past or crying over former hurts or seeking revenge or seeking to persuade people that I am a martyr. I have left my baggage in the locker back at those times and locations.
Life is too short to spend bemoaning all the opportunities missed; all the injustices done you and all the mistakes you intentionally or inadvertently made. Life is also too short to spend your time trying to justify yourself to people who only want to find fault in you.
If and when you have an opportunity to restore a relationship that was once foolishly or accidently broken - then you should do so. But you also need to avoid insanity.
When you keep suffering because of certain people or certain behaviors, it is time to board the train and go see the sights elsewhere - and leave your baggage back at the train station.
Despite all the hysterical accusations made by the sociopathic ideologues, the reality is that REAL everyday Muslims who have left their homelands to settle in democracy loving western lands DON’T WANT to be controlled by Islamists. They more than anyone else know what living under Islamic (theocratic) political and social control means.
I cry for America for two reasons. The first is that the light of honesty and decency – the hallmarks of democracy – are being extinguished by puerile and apparently sociopathic people. But perhaps the more important reason for my tears is that I believe that what we are seeing now is the death throes of the American Republic. If America falls, then so too does democracy, and if democracy falls, what hope do any of the peoples of the world have?
This article relates to the issue of the 480 years quoted in 1 Kings 6:1 in relation to the Mosaic Exodus and the building of Solomon’s Temple. It is in fact an ‘excerpt’ from Chapter 14 of the King’s Calendar. According to the authorised version, 1 King’s 6:1, tells us that Solomon’s 4th year is the 480th year since the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt. The Septuagint however tells us that it is the 440 th. year.
Using Solar Year Calculations to synchronise Biblical Data is insufficient to understand Biblical and Extra Biblical Chronology and Historical Narrative, and contradicts known history....The two great significances of the secular academic approach is that 701 BC which is supposed to be Hezekiah’s 14th year, is plainly not; and 740 BC becomes Ahaz’ 1st year which completely messes up all Biblical chronology in relation to Uzziah, Jotham, Menehem and Pekah. When working in Solar years counting down from the accepted date for the commencement of the reigns of Jehu (Israel) and Athaliah [Judah], that is, from 841 BC to 701 BC, the results are also alarming. The Significance of these figures, is that they throw all the Biblical data out the window and contradict known history. In order to get around this problem, historians have to reject what the Bible says.
Anti-Vilification laws which were supposed to protect or at least provide redress to those who have been abused or attacked on the basis of their ‘difference,’ are constantly used to punish ordinary people who exercise their democratic right to freedome of thought, opinion and speech.
Just as iPatriot has done its share to spread the word of conservatism and oppose the fanatics trying to destroy our world with their totalitarian doctrines, the two organizations which wrote to me are seeking to do their own bit. Both are currently running crowdfunding campaigns.
On this page today, I have collated from the articles listed below, a few photographs which I have tried to present sequentially as a trip from Yichang up to Sanxia. Each has a little commentary which might only make sense if you actually read the articles or eventually buy the book.
On this page today I want to bring to your attention three videos that relate to the negative effect of Islam on Western Democracies. Before the Far Left Liberal Progressives start screaming and shouting, let me just tell you that the American brand of Leftist Liberal Progressivism is precisely what the first speaker – a Muslim – indicates is the problem in America.
The first seven photographs are from two different articles about West Lake or Xihu in Hangzhou. The following two photographs are from Shaoxing which is just an hour by bus from West Lake, and the last two are from Ningbo a town I visited many years ago as part of a school outing but this weekend Nov 11-13, 2016 I am back there visiting with a foreign friend who is there on business.
Notice that I did not say that the 'immigrants' demand that we change. I didn't say that because for the most part it just isn't true! It has been the godless totalitarian PC sociopaths (activists) who have demanded that we change, and they started first with the claim that nativity scenes in shop windows offended non-Christians. For those who don't know, Evangelical Christians traditionally don't believe in icons and depictions of God or Jesus because it is akin to idolatry. If there were any who might have been offended, it was surely the fundamentalist Christians. Certainly the Buddhists and Hindus aren't offended by nativity scenes, and if you think about it, have you ever heard a Muslim, a Jew or an Evangelical Christian complain about Nativity Scenes?

BenDedek originally created the site to publicize his research results into the Chronology of Ancient Israel. Those results were published under the title: 'The King's Calendar: The Secret of Qumran.' Whilst there have been many attempts to solve the chronological riddle of the Bible's synchronisms of reigns of the kings of Israel and Judah and their synchronism with other Ancient Near Eastern Nations, no other research is based on a simple mathematical formula which could, if it is incorrect, be disproved easily. To date, no one has been able to dismiss the mathematical results of this research.

Definition: King's Calendar Chronological Research
The Premise: Between the 5th and 3rd centuries BCE (but continuing down to at least 104 BCE), Sectarian redactors transcribed the legitimate 'solar year' chronological records of Israel and Judah, into an artificial form, with listed years as each comprised of 12 months of 4 weeks of 7 days, or 336 days per year, thus creating a 13th artificial year where 12 solar years existed.
When the Synchronous Chronological Data provided in the Books of Kings and Chronicles for the Divided Kingdom Period are measured in years of 336 days, the synchronisms actually align. [Refer to Appendix 5. to see how it synchronises the Divided Kingdom Period]
