I've read Douglas Adam's 'Is there an Artificial God?', and loved it. It struck a cord for me in two particular if not diametrically different ways.
The first was where he talked about the macroscopic and microscopic universe consisting largely of nothing. It reminded me that God created everything out of nothing. So science backs up religion at this point.
The second was his observations of the practical use of belief in God, (irrespective of his existence).
On this score, he makes a profound statement. The fundamentalists of course would object, for it devalues God 'him/herself'. On the other hand, the rest, while proclaiming religion and faith in God to be illogical and ridiculous, will illogically and ridiculously proclaim their 'beliefs' in an effort to convert the 'unbelievers', so that in the end, wherever you turn, Religion is There! With or Without God.
It is further obvious, that societal murder of the real God, or the destruction of this false god, has inadvertenly removed many societal restraints as well as empowerments, by which I mean that we no longer have a reason to ....(whatever) except to satisfy someone else's belief system.
Those that destroy the image of God like to talk about evolution, human rights and various types of 'enlightenment' which result in such things as 'feminism', 'multiculturalism', 'political correctness', and 'societal harmony'. But when you remove this false God and replace him with biological evolution from the primordial slime, the question begs asking, 'Why should we take part in such ideals?'
The evolutionary equation is 'Whoever is stronger, smarter and more resilient, will win', and it is irrelevant what anyone thinks, for their thoughts are nothing more than attempt to dominate and conquer me. Who gives anyone the right to insist that racism is wrong, or even murder for that matter.
So in the end, it does not matter if God exists in Reality or in the imagination of believers? What matters is that their relationship to the world derives from a personal sense of responsibility to the brotherhood of man and the sonship of God (forgive the sexist language).
So why in God's name do people want to remove these usually 'harmless' illusions and replace them with high ideals that have little meaning for any but the one half of the 'egocentric' who derive value from them, while the other half of the 'egocentric' say 'screw you!'
We call it "Political Correctness." The name originated as something of a joke, literally in a comic strip, and we tend still to think of it as only half-serious. In fact, it’s deadly serious. It is the great disease of our century, the disease that has left tens of millions of people dead in Europe, in Russia, in China, indeed around the world. It is the disease of ideology. PC is not funny. PC is deadly serious.
If we look at it analytically, if we look at it historically, we quickly find out exactly what it is. Political Correctness is cultural Marxism. It is Marxism translated from economic into cultural terms. It is an effort that goes back not to the 1960s and the hippies and the peace movement, but back to World War I. If we compare the basic tenets of Political Correctness with classical Marxism the parallels are very obvious.
Abuse
All forms of abuse are serious, but the least recognised is Emotional Abuse. In the Article entitled: Emotional Abuse and Female Emotional Abusers this issue is examined. It touches upon Religious abuse, Political Activist abuse, Feminist Abuse, Child abuse, and Men who are abused by women.
