21st Century Totalitarianism: Political Correctness.
I have written many articles about Political Correctness in the past, and will do so again today, but whereas in the past I merely demonstrated that Political Correctness is a lie that presents itself as a truth, this article raises questions about the very future of the world; a world of totalitarianism, wherein one's every thought must pay due homage to the powers that be, lest, like in some Nazi nightmare, one's very livelihood will be denied. And no, as will be demonstrated, this is not an exaggeration, for it is already being espoused by the world's leading evolutionary scientists.
In an article appearing at Apologetics Press entitled: Militant Atheism and which focused merely on the evolution creation debate, some shocking revelations were made that spell death to democracy, free thought and certainly free expression.
This article revolves around an article in New Scientist, relating to a meeting of scientists in La Jolla, California, in which the question was asked “Should science do away with religion?”. The answer was "Yes!"
I wish to state right now, that I could care less what anyone believes when it comes to the debate over Evolution and Creationism. What does concern me however, is the road the scientists plan to walk in order to control people, denying them the right to their own personal beliefs, culture and customs. My wording here is deliberate, for if there is one thing that Political Correctness (deceitfully) proclaims, it is that every culture and lifestyle stands equally on par with every other culture and lifestyle, and that it is discrimination to do or say anything against other cultures and lifestyles.
But from the report as cited at Apologetics Press by Eric Lyons, M.Min. and Kyle Butt, M.A., it is quite clear that the scientific community intends for totalitarian authority to prevent any and every citizen from participating in a belief or culture of which they disapprove.
It has always been my position, that Political Correctness is a Lie that propagates itself firstly by the creation of Laws designed to give it control over people's thoughts and opinions, and secondly, by concealing actual truth within an apparent truth. This following reference from the Apologetics Press report, provides an example of an innocuous statement, (a reasonable truth) that leads people to believe one thing, whilst the real truth, is something else.
Cosmologist Steven Weinburg was first to address the question, “Should science do away with religion?” He responded with an unequivocal “yes,” saying: “The world needs to wake up from the long nightmare of religion.... Anything we scientists can do to weaken the hold of religion should be done, and may in fact be our greatest contribution to civilization”
What's wrong with this statement?
Absolutely nothing! If scientists want to win the ideological battle between evolution and creation, then they are entitled to use every means at their disposal. The creationist likewise is entitled to wage his own ideological battle. This is not a problem. Standing alone, this scientist's statement is not even worth debating. It is not until you read further however, that you discover the real truth.
The next insight into what is really in the minds of these scientists, appears in the following quote:
Evolutionist Neil deGrasse Tyson of the Hayden Planetarium in New York “spoke with an evangelist’s zeal” (p. 10, emp. added). He referred to a recent poll taken of members of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences which revealed that 15 percent did not indicate they were atheists, and asked: “How come the number isn’t zero?... That should be the subject of everybody’s investigation. That’s something that we can’t just sweep under the rug”
Again, on it's own, the statement is innocuous enough. But subsequent to this, we begin to see something a little sinister:
According to Dickerson, then, what should be done with any person who does believe in a supernatural Creator and a straightforward reading of Genesis 1? He is quick to offer his opinion. He says: “People who do not understand that concept (evolution—EL/KB) can never be real scientists, and should not be allowed to misrepresent science to young people from whom the ranks of the next generation of scientists will be drawn”
Here we have the beginning of the real truth. - Control!
If you believe in God, you can't be a real scientist, and furthermore, the time will come when those who do believe in God, will not be allowed to become scientists. You doubt it? When a student asked for a recommendation from Professor Michael Dini, he was informed that he needed to ‘truthfully and forthrightly’ believe in human evolution. The Professor was duly investigated and his website was amended somewhat. But as Apologetics press points out:
In the eyes of some, such as Dr. Dini, it is no longer acceptable simply to know about the theory of evolution and be able to discuss it intelligently. Now, if you do not profess it, you may risk the opportunity to further your education.
When you consider that in 1989 Richard Dawkins likened belief in God to 'insanity', you can begin to see what the future might hold for all those who do not believe what the scientific elect declare to be true. This goes to the heart of what Political Correctness is all about.
As I stated at the beginning, I care nought for the Evolution / Creation debate nor for the ideological battle to win souls to the cause, but within this Apologetics Press article, one can see the seed of Political Correctness Totalitarianism already germinating. Science stands ready ideologically, and empowered practically, to declare anyone who does not profess the right faith to be insane. (Note the references in the article to Medicine and Evolution). Political Correctness already does this in many other ways. Feminism's real power has grown so terribly, that it's self delusion or outright lie that woman are incapable of making false reports about rape and violence is not just generally accepted (or acquiesced to), but made invincible by laws which dictate that to make a disparaging remark about feminists is a crime in itself.
Political Correctness is a weapon, pure and simple - nothing else. Political Correctness is a power trip by self interested parties who despite all their claims to compassion and humanitarianism, care for nothing but themselves and ensuring that their personal "minority" ideologies are not only afforded a special status, and not only protected from attack or accusation, but afforded every opportunity to evangelize, and if that not be enough, to punish those who will not be evangelized.
I live in Communist China, where compared to the west, life is not held at the mercy of Political Correctness activist groups. Whilst that was not always so, and one hopes that no reversion to the past will in the future occur, today at least, one is free to think and discuss issues, without being prosecuted or assaulted for straying from the path of those whose power seems believed to descend from the Divine Right of Kings.
My son in Australia told me that he does his best to avoid reading anything about Islam, terrorism or the Middle East, because it makes him sick to the stomach. I know the feeling. People ask me what is it about China that I find so appealing, and it is hard to explain. But when I think about Political Correctness and returning to live in Australia, I get a sick feeling in my stomach. When a student recently asked me if Australia was really the wonderful place that it is described as being, I replied:
Australia is the best most fantastic country in the world. That's why I live in China.
No offense Australia: But here in China, I feel like I have returned to my Childhood, and to democracy!
On Abuse
All forms of abuse are serious, but the least recognised is Emotional Abuse. In the Article entitled: Emotional Abuse and Female Emotional Abusers this issue is examined. It touches upon Religious abuse, Political Activist abuse, Feminist Abuse, Child abuse, and Men who are abused by women.
Re: Fort Hood Massacre I invite readers to think about the educators of our "politically correct" or non-judgmental media, because the core of the problem consists not in cowardly or obfuscating journalists but rather the universities that educated them.
We boast of these universities, even though they produce so many moral idiots. I mean men and women stultified by the academic doctrine of moral or cultural relativism. Because it is this doctrine that prompts "politically correct" fools to hire Muslims to serve on US military bases.
The social engineering of society, to accommodate 'ideological agendas' which sound so great, usually fall victim to 'The Law of Unintended Consequences'.
But when the 'rights' of ideologues, social engineers and political activists start impinging on our personal and traditional identity; which is to say, 'our national culture', then it is time to sit back and say 'enough!
We really do need to pay more attention to how our own minds operate, and how we are both consciously and subconsciously effected by Media Propaganda.
It's very easy to 'take sides' in an issue, and it is very easy to be persuaded of a cause, but at the end of the day, unless it is our specific purpose to blind ourselves to the truth, it is encumbent upon us to do our best to look at every situation from as many persepectives as possible...to make sure that we are not 'obsessive and compulsive' in our political and social judgements.
Is it possible that we and our kids are living in a state of 'stupor', controlled by external forces that seek to mould us to their wills? Does the media and do the Universities engineer what we think? Do they try to cast a spell over our minds and our thoughts?
Humankind (I'm afraid to write 'mankind') loves and admires charasmatic speakers and leaders, and naturally we expect students to 'look up to' their teachers. What happens when those leaders and teachers are not worthy of honour, or are teaching that which is contrary to our own (family/ social/ cultural or traditional) culture?
Political Correctness is ultimately a game where the one who is speaking is free to speak, and anyone who speaks against him/her is in the wrong, unless of course what you are saying, has the support of the majority of the 'socio-political' elites. In truth, Free Speech is a Myth
Judge Richard Goldstone has presented his report on Gaza and, among other recommendations, suggested that Israel conduct its own inquiry. Israeli government officials, assuming he meant an investigation like his into Israel's misdeeds, declined, noting that that they have and continue to investigate their army's behavior on a constant basis.
But after reading most of the report, another possibility presents itself. It rapidly becomes clear to any reader not driven by a thirst for "dirt" on Israel, that Goldstone's work represents a new low in the tragically deteriorating world of international justice. It fails on every count, from its handling of evidence, to its legal reasoning, to its unstated but pervasive assumptions of Israeli guilt and Palestinian innocence, to its astonishing conclusion (from someone who knows the gruesome details of Bosnia and Rwanda), that Israeli behavior was so bad it might well constitute "crimes against humanity."
As a result this report takes the army with the best record in the history of warfare for protecting enemy civilians and accuses it of targeting them. Goldstone makes Kafka's Trial seem fair.
what could one expect from a committee created by the ineptly titled UN Human Rights Council, which is dominated by rogue regimes like Iran, Syria, Somalia, Libya, Cuba and Liberia? Some of the leaders of the member-states would qualify as candidates for prosecution as war criminals. The council's principal common denominator remains an obsessive hatred of Israel, which they condemn more frequently than all the other 191 member-states combined.
In fact, since its inception in 2006, 26 of the 32 resolutions condemning human rights violations passed by the council were directed against Israel. It should also be noted that this UN "human rights" body declined to investigate the monstrous brutalities inflicted on civilian populations in Chechnya, Sri Lanka and Sudan. Indeed it went so far as to bizarrely thank the Sudanese government, the perpetrators of the Darfur massacres, for its "cooperation."
As the politically activated humanitarians constantly scrutinize everything done in Palestine by Israel, and jump up and down about what rotten sods the Israelis really are, they seem not to be aware of what the Palestinians themselves are saying about the state of affairs in Gaza.
"We are telling the world that we don't deserve a state because we are murdering each other and destroying our universities, colleges, mosques and hospitals. Today I'm ashamed to say that I'm a Palestinian."
In our demented western multicultural sycophantic madness, are we really unable to understand that for many in the Muslim world, violence is a way of life. How is it that we can jump up and down over a few rashly spoken racist comments, but say nothing when we hear and see the worst aspects of 'ethnic culture'. Why is it do you think, that we care so little for victims of crime while our hearts bleed for the criminals? Why is it that the things we despise in our own culture, are acceptable when found in other cultures?
