I received an email recently suggesting that I write a short article to explain to prospective purchasers of the King's Calendar Download, what it is that they get when they buy it.
So what do you get when you buy 'The King's Calendar: The Secret of Qumran”?
When you buy the download, (US$39.99) you get 24 Chapters and 19 Appendices. The Chapters of the book are divided into 4 parts.
Part One, containing 4 chapters, can already be viewed online, and form a type of introduction and apologetics for the Research. It covers the period between the Death of Josiah and the Fall of Jerusalem.
Part Two, Commences with the reign of Rehoboam and concludes with the Fall of Jerusalem. This is the Divided Kingdom Period, and relies on all the Chronological Synchronisms provided in the books of Kings and Chronicles.
Part Three, then covers the period from Abraham to Solomon, for which there are no synchronous chronologies provided in Scripture.
Part Four, deals with the prophets, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel, as well as an extensive examination of the chronologies of Josephus.
The 19 Appendices. Currently only a few of these are available in the free onsite version. The appendices include charts and additional information pertinent to matters raised in the body of the book. The various charts provided are meant to be viewed concurrently with the various chapters to which they relate, so that you can confirm the accuracy of the King's Calendar results.
The Best Reason to buy the Full Download Version is that you have, via the internet, direct access to the author. In fact, members of the 'King's Calendar community, have provided them an extra option of communicating with each other about the book.
Why should we buy the Full Version Download?
The first reason to buy the download, is that it will save you a great deal of time in research. It took me ten years to research and write up the results of this work, and although all the essential keys are provided 'free online', it will still take you a long time to sort through all the chronological and historical difficulties.
Another reason to buy the download, is that you have access to all the charts contained in the appendices, and can navigate them offline with ease. Additionally, you get to view the files themselves without the accompanying borders and advertising seen on the Web pages.
Naturally, viewing the content 'offline' will save you the expense of connecting to the internet to view the currently free files.
The final and most important reason to buy the download, is that you get to read and understand the content in total. The results of this research reveal many things not mentioned in the free version, and which are either not mentioned in the various onsite article sections, or are not discussed in full.
Do you need to be an academic to understand the book?
As mentioned, one of the benefits of a Download Version, is that you can communicate directly with the author, should you find a need for clarification. Members do get a discount by the way.
Also as mentioned, freely available on the website there are provided numerous Chapters and Appendices from 'The King's Calendar: The Secret of Qumran', including the first four chapters.
If you are a serious academic or student of history, you do not have to buy the book all. Everything necessary for you to check out the authenticity of the Research is provided freely for you to do so, but most people either do not have the expertise, or the time, to do all the research themselves.
Remember the old adage, 'Try before you buy'? Well, that is the policy of the King's Calendar. You are given sufficient material to digest before deciding that you want to proceed. After reading the available material, you can see that some of it is technical, and some of it is reasonably straightforward. There are 2 particular chapters that are very technical, and for that reason, they are provided a second time without all the technical arguments, just to make the points more clear for the less technical readers.
The point to remember, is that whether you are a member or not, you can receive direct online help from the author, at those points where you may feel a little out of your depth.
What about the various articles on the website?

Why are the “For the Academics”, “Wikipedia Articles”, “Extra Free Glimpses”, and “Rules of Evidence & Archaeology” not included in the download?
These sections contain a variety of articles relating to issues both in the free version and the Buy Download version. They are usually short articles that highlight specific results of the King's Calendar Research.
They do not go into great detail, and nor do they provide real 'apologetics' for the issues discussed. They are, you could say, little extras to pique your curiosity, although I'm sure that many of them will benefit you greatly when you read the 'buy download' version, as they do on occasions provide a type of synopsis of certain chapters.
When you buy the Full Version Download
You do not buy photographs from China.
You do not buy social commentary articles.
You do not buy articles on the Middle East or Israel.
You do not buy the newsletters.
You do not buy any of the 'Academic Articles', or the 'Wikipedia Articles'.
All of these you can read online and copy to your computer if you wish.
