Etymology: Greek ArmageddOn, HarmagedOn, scene of the battle foretold in Revelations 16:14-16
the site or time of a final and conclusive battle between the forces of good and evil
a usually vast decisive conflict or confrontation
The events now unfolding in the Islamic world are an allegedly direct response to the Danish cartoons. Maybe that sleepy little corner of the world called Europe is waking up.
Denmark Sparks Islamic War:
Islam in Europe
(References after the article demonstrate that this war in ongoing in 2010)
Europe, the cradle of western civilization, having once successfully repelled the forces of Islam, has for many years now been opening up her arms to the Muslim invaders.
Beneficiently superior to all others, and with puerile enmity toward the USA, Europe not only opened her doors to Islam, but applauded (at least in private) the Islamic attacks on the USA, and naturally, being the historical seat of Anti-Semitism, has willingly assisted the attempted destruction of Israel, whilst hypocritically calling for peace with Israel and demanding more and more concessions from that dangerous country.
The first point that should be highlighted is the following:
The Danish are the most irreverent of all European nations. Unpretentious, frank and forthright, no frills, no superficial politeness, no overweening ambition. Public opinion was largely pro-Palestinian and anti-Iraq war. True to the Scandinavian social democratic tradition, Danes were more likely to serve in NGOs and defend the oppressed than to close their borders or their welfare offices. But their good faith has been sorely tried.
The Danes as shown above, are not as politically correct as many others, and their current leader, has steadfastly refused to intervene in the affair since it began months ago.
From this report at TechCentralStation, there are other points to note, namely;
When anti-European violence flared in the Palestinian territories, the shock was so intense that it produced some authentic news on French TV!
The freedom that is under attack this time directly concerns the media. In a spontaneous gesture of solidarity, newspapers all over Europe reproduced some or all of the Jyllands-Posten drawings.
But there is more to be learned from these incidents, the latest in a series of escalating skirmishes in a war that has been thrust upon us. We are faced with a jihad conquest that parades as the legitimate revolt of the oppressed.
The forces that are orchestrating spectacular mob violence in Muslim countries are simultaneously organizing legalistic attacks in Western nations.
Meanwhile every sort of freedom and all the rules of civilized international relations are outrageously trampled in Muslim countries, where mobs are allowed to attack embassies with savage rage.
The Danish illustrators went beyond the task that was assigned to them. They have drawn the battle lines in Europe…and worldwide.
The final point made in that article was this, that “The real moderate Muslims, the masses of people who yearn to live free, will, it is hoped, come forth and take their place on this side of that line.”
I have written many times, mainly in my column at Magic City Morning Star Online News, that it is Political Correctness that is destroying democracy
At last it has been demonstrated that Political Correctness has backed us into a corner.
Do we submit to the yoke of Islam, or do we continue live free? As Justin Darr concluded in his article Islam’s Low Intensity Terrorism (Feb 7, 2006,)
“The civilized world is now faced with a choice. Do we allow ourselves to be intimidated by Islam’s low intensity terrorism because we feel that it is a better alternative than the more overt terrorism so many Muslims love, sacrificing our freedom and security in the process? Or, do we decide to stand up for what we know is right?”
My view: Let those who are for us be with us, and let those who are not with us, be removed from our midst. My Muslim relatives are proud Australians who condemn terrorism, but then again, their type of Islam is not exactly flavour of the month in Wahhabbi circles.
Naser Khader, the Damascus-born son of a Palestinian father and Syrian mother who has served as a Danish parliamentarian from the Social Liberal Party since 1994, now lives under round-the-clock police protection because he committed the "crime" of giving his daughter a kafir ("infidel," read "Western") name. Compounding his "apostasy," he founded a moderate Muslim group with over 700 members, Democratic Muslims, after the outbreak of the "cartoon jihad" to campaign against Islamic establishmentarianism.
The UNHRC's resolution effectively delegitimized Israel's right to exist by denying that it has a right to defend its territory and its people from illegal aggression carried out by an illegal terrorist organization.
Mohamed ElBaradei, the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency's virulently anti-Israel chairman, announced a deal has been reached between Iran and the US, Russia and France regarding Iran's nuclear program.
But now that the administration has agreed to an accord that effectively transforms America into a facilitator of Iran's nuclear weapons program, the time has come for Israel to start voicing its objections.
Colonel Richard Kemp (the former commander of British forces in Afghanistan), who said, "From my knowledge of the IDF and from the extent to which I have been following the current operation, I do not think there has ever been a time in the history of warfare when an army has made more efforts to reduce civil casualties and deaths of innocent people than the IDF is doing today in Gaza."
Every time someone writes, speaks of ‘Palestinians’ a myth is reinforced
Israel eventually negotiated an armistice in 1949...
Arabs who left homes and property in Israel and many from other countries who joined Arab armies and did not want to return, remained in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, most as "refugees" under the care of UNRWA.
This heterogeneous population was called "Arab refugees," not "Palestinians," because at the time there was no such group, or people.
called "Arab refugees" was because there were many other refugees in Palestine,.. Hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees from Arab countries streamed into Israel. UNRWA offered no aid...
The designation "Palestinian" did not become widely accepted until after the war in 1967...
As the PLO launched mega-terrorist attacks around the world, "Palestinianism" became accepted, backed by the Arab League, Muslim and "non-aligned" countries, and the United Nations.
As the proportion of anti-Israel countries in the UN grew, "Palestinians" were given more and more recognition, support and legitimacy, unlike any other group.
And the fraud worked! It worked so well because the world's media accepted the Palestinians' self-definition and their cause.
Every time someone writes or speaks of "Palestinians" it reinforces this myth.
I was standing in that holiest of places, which generations of Jews for 2,000 years could only dream of visiting, I was forbidden to pray. Simply moving my lips in whispered prayer could be grounds for removal. Why? Because I am a Jew. And only a Muslim can pray on the holiest site in Judaism. A Jew may not.
DURING THE War of Independence in 1948, the Old City of Jerusalem fell to the Jordanians. Nearly 1,500 Jews, including many women and children, were killed.
In June 1967, when Egypt, Syria and Jordan embarked on a war to annihilate the Jewish state, Israel recaptured Jerusalem's Old City.
But then, in a mind-boggling display of attempted appeasement of an enemy that just days before had sought Israel's destruction, defense minister Moshe Dayan decided to allow the Muslim religious council, the Wakf, to retain administrative authority over the Temple Mount. Thus, a truly bizarre and unacceptable situation developed.
I think it is time for us to realise that there is something going on in the United Nations that is working within an agenda far removed from Democratic Principles and Personal Freedoms that we expect.
