THEY called it a day of pride, but it will go down as a day of national disgrace. Thousands of drunken youths descended on Cronulla, south of Sydney, yesterday to begin the race riots police had feared, and which were to continue to trigger violence into the night.
Elitist Sydney, so far ahead of Queensland; so proud of your modern activisms, you have finally demonstrated the predictable results of the 'fascist' activist social engineering agenda.
Proudly boasting of egalitarianism in the name of 'political correctness' and 'multiculturalism', the intelligentsia have for too long punished the average Joe Blow who voiced any 'unacceptable' (to you) thought word or opinion, calling him 'racist' and 'discriminatory'.
How long can a people have their culture denigrated before they react? How long can a people endure being punished simply for expressing dislike for another person, his activities or race? How long can a people endure being told that their own festivals and celebrations are unacceptable, whilst being FORCED to endure the beliefs, celebrations and festivals of other nations? How long can a people endure being told, that their own culture is worthless and that they should leave it and adopt another?
The day started with everyone singing 'We are One'? How politically correct! Then all it took was a few beers for people to drop the facade and express their true feelings in a situation in which they no longer felt alone, despised or subject to victimisation for expressing their feelings.
Nothing of what has happened was unpredictable but in a typical fascist totalitarian manner, all who have warned of this day coming were labeled 'Racists'!
It's about time the (expletive) academics and politicians stopped their social experimenting, stopped relying upon the introduction of laws to prevent and punish this type of behaviour, and instead, started ensuring that Australians have no reason for this behaviour, ie, no reason to resent immigrants.
Multiculturalism was supposed to make us all one, in a melting pot. What was forced upon us, was racial, social and cultural segregation of a type that treated 'we Aussies' like second class citizens, AND punished us for saying so.
This was all so predictable and preventable, and unless the 'activist' agendas and 'activist' spokespersons who constantly prowl seeking to devour Australians who express dissent, trying to rob us of our freedom of speech and expression are silenced, this pent up anger and rage will continue.
Sadly though, the Academic fascists will probably persuade the government to introduce stronger and tougher laws to punish and to prevent us from expressing how we feel.
If Anger is not expressed it eventually becomes Rage, and Rage kills!
The government and the academics have forced us to swallow our feelings and our words in the name of 'political correctness' and this is the predictable result.
Grow up Australia! ------------------------------------------- WHO COULD HAVE PREDICTED THIS VIOLENCE?
I DID! In the Article I wrote for the 'Living in Harmony Network at I wrote the following:
What has happened as a result of this, is that Australians are beginning to feel under obligation to become what they are not, and to adopt cultural practices or ideas with which they have no affinity, and in the process, feel that they cannot 'be natural', 'speak the truth' about anything, or 'have an opinion' that is not officially sanctioned.
It's like being in a pressure cooker, and one day, there will be a violent explosion, as average Australians refuse to be told what to think and believe and feel about just about everything.
One of the results of these constant accusations that 'we Australians' are racists, is that 'we Australians' feel that 'we' in fact, are the victims of 'reverse racism'. Our culture, our traditions and especially our religious beliefs are publicly denigrated, despite the fact that such behaviour is by definition, discriminatory.
I think it is fair to say, that Australians could care less where you come from, what religion you are, what language you speak, or what your affiliations are, as long as you make the effort to 'be Australian'; to be one of us, and not 'one of them!'
Political correctness is there for a reason. Mainly to preserve the delicate status-quo and peace this country has enjoyed for decades.
Regardless of deep feelings group A or group B has towards each other, the fact of the matter is that both groups are ALREADY living HERE together, and NOT since yesterday.
What exactly free expression of un-political correct thoughts and chants are set to achieve in such a democratic, modern and already very multicultural country? other then complete mayhem !, alienating minority groups ! and bring back old but not too distant memories of “Nazi Germany”.
Remember how it all began in nazi Germany, Remember where it eventually lead the entire world and remember the grave end results.
There should be no excuses for such thugs behaviour, IT MUST be condemned by anyone even half rational , REGARDLESS of deep feelings. Because when the monster is out and about there will be no way back and it will take this whole country back to dark ages....destruction and sore wounds are the only things it is going to leave.
It is a very slippery slope WITHOUT political correctness. Political correctness is there for a very good reason. For Australia’s sake, let us all guard and preserve it as much as we possibly can.
I don't disagree with your thoughts about Political correctness and the current riots.
My point can be seen in my statement: It's like being in a pressure cooker, and one day, there will be a violent explosion, as average Australians refuse to be told what to think and believe and feel about just about everything.
One of the results of these constant (activits) accusations that 'we Australians' are racists, is that 'we Australians' feel that 'we' in fact, are the victims of 'reverse racism'. Our culture, our traditions and especially our religious beliefs are publicly denigrated (by activists), despite the fact that such behaviour is by definition, discriminatory.
I think it is fair to say, that Australians could care less where you come from, what religion you are, what language you speak, or what your affiliations are, as long as you make the effort to 'be Australian'; to be one of us, and not 'one of them!
I have just penned a comment to the courier mail, in which I supported John Howards comments.
"Put simply, most Australians want a nation where, irrespective of their background and always respecting the right of people to maintain affection for their own culture, ... we should encourage to the maximum extent possible everybody to become part of the integrated Australian community.
In all my life, apart from the recent call by one Muslim group to remove the word Christmas from our vocabularies, I have never heard of any Ethnic group demanding anything of Australians.
It is the Activists, who constantly police political correctness, for their own purposes (to prevent any and all comments about anything - including their own agendas).
Political Correctness is a misnomer. It suggests that there are correct and incorrect words and ways. But Political Correctness Activism, is better called Politically REQUIRED speech - or Politically punishable speech.
Everyone has the right to say "Nah! I don't like ---- or ----. But today, you cannot say anything like that without being threatened. On the other hand, these activists think nothing of constantly rubbishing and vilifying Australians who do not 'toe the line'.
We can't have a christian nativity scene in a shopping centre because it might offend the non-christian, but we can turn over southbank to the Buddhists; turn over the streets of Sydney to a Ramadan March, and promote everything 'ethnic'. These 'activist' promoted 'repressions' of traditional Australian culture, have worn thin and will get worse, unless we stop punishing Australians for not accepting activist agendas.
Whatever started these riots is now a sideline event. What is fueling them is the pent up anger and resentment of ordinary 'non ethnic' Australians who are fed up with being treated like second class citizens.
It's not with Political Correctness that I take issue, but it's abuse by politically motivated trouble makers.
First we must bring some measure of peace and calm to the current situation, and then we must start addressing the real issues. The issues are not 'racism and racial hatred' but the resentment felt by the ordinary Australian 'non ethnic'. They are actually 'transferring' the anger that they feel toward the thought police, onto the ethnic peoples.
That's my opinion.
A must read for Australians:
My comment: Irrespective of whether we took too many immigrants too soon, the ultimate reality is that we have suppressed free and open discussion and expression of opinion - just to satisfy the power hungry activists and academics.
Don't get me wrong....I know exactly what you mean, I come from a very multicultural country and know all about certain minority groups tendency to steer, intimidate and create problems (i think we both know who we are talking about here).
I do take issue though with this matter spilling over and reflecting on all other immigrants from all nationalities in this country. This is just plain wrong and spells even bigger problems for this country in the long run.
These thugs (from both sides) should be dealt with very harshly and within the framework of the law. It should be viewed and dealt with on the basis of "citizens who broke the law". AND not as Australians versus none Australians (this would be a very wrong approach).
I don't know about others, but we came to Australia more than a decade ago and we love and proud of this country just as much as we loved our other country. I feel patriotic just as any other Australian feels and I grow my kid here which is as plain aussi as any other aussi is. We speak mostly English at home, we have the highest respect to the Aussi culture and we have many aussi friends. We love the Christmas atmosphere and my daughter even took Santa cluse pictures in the shopping mall just a few days ago. We have absolutely no issue with Christianity....we very well realise that we have moved to a Christian country and we don't want to see it changed or suppressed. Yes we are Jewish, yet we have the highest respect for other religions and cultures.
It is just plain wrong and untrue to chant that ALL immigrants don't mix and don't respect the aussi culture and/or not as patriots.
One must realise that the first generation will always have SOME problems mixing up as they mostly come from different cultures, different language etc. BUT the second and third generations do mix and do feel as aussi.
To my opinion, responsible Australians should very much realise that and work towards decreasing the gap rather then add more fuel to the flames. For the sake of all of us Australians and our kids.
As an Immigrant, (even of longstanding), it is obvious that all of this crap is very worrying to you. And with Reason!
However, I don't think that you should allow the negativity of it all to affect you 'disproportionately'. We know that headlines generate advertising $'s for the Media, and publicity raises the 'public presence' of all those seeking it, whether they be politicians, people like Germaine Greer,or Activists and their agendas.
You are absolutely correct: All criminal behaviour must be dealt with as CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR.
The whole 'Racism Card', serves the self interest of many competing agendas, and I really really don't believe (based upon a lifetime of observation) that the average Aussie resents, or hates immigrants. We are after all, all immigrants.
I really think that the success of 'Racists' depends on appealing to the 'angst' of the masses. This is true in every revolution.
The best way to get rid of the 'angst' is to remove its cause. The racist says the cause is 'immigrants'. The truth is, that the real cause of angst amongst Australians, is not the immigrant, but the homegrown Activists who have constantly attacked 'US'.
Instead of taking our anger out on the activists, we suppressed it until finally, it was ignited by a racist incident.
I take exception to Beazley's words, not because there is anything intrinsically wrong what with he says, but because he fails to see the bigger picture.
Yes there are racists, but how do racists stir up a mob? By appealing to their personal 'anger and resentments'.
When it comes to migrants, what ordinary people resent, is not the migrant and his culture, but the way 'activists' in this country, (we call them THOUGHT POLICE), constantly harass anyone who expresses an opinion.
I got into trouble for an article I wrote last year in my column in America, for saying that you wouldn't want a mainland Chinese kid living in your house. They are dirty and inconsiderate.
How Racist! But it is true! You wouldn't want them in your house IF they REFUSED to integrate and adopt the household customs. You wouldn't want kids standing on the door step in the morning 'pissing into the street'.
But to actually say so is deemed RACIST. But it is not! It is a valid expression based on personal experience.
When people are told that 'their' customs may offend 'other' cultures, but are told that they in turn have no right to be offended by other cultures, it causes resentment.
It is this type of resentment that can be stirred up by racists.
My family is full of differing races, religions (including Muslim) and colours, and we all object to injustice in ANY form. We don't object to 'particular' injustice because it suits an 'activist' philosophy.
BEAZLEY said.."There's an antidote to that and the antidote is personal responsibility and accepting that personal responsibility to live within the framework of a tolerant community,"
It is about time that the THOUGHT POLICE and political activists started being tolerant toward homegrown Australians. If we can TOLERATE Ramadan marches, then we can TOLERATE Christmas nativity scenes.
If we can TOLERATE feminists constantly abusing and accusing men of every crime imaginable, then they can TOLERATE our expressions of disgust at their behaviour.
Racists appeal to the basest nature of mankind; their anger, resentment and frustration. But if you take away the cause of that anger (constant harassment for being a homegrown Aussie), then people would not have anything to which a racist could appeal.
If you don't believe me, check out the article by Peter Ryan: Apologise to Blainey in the Australian Newspaper.
We live in a vicious community that constantly PUNISHES homegrown Aussies.
We have nothing to worry about from the immigrants. They just get on with their lives. The real RACISTS are homegrown academics and political Activists.
THE FOLLOWING IS A PUBLISHED FEEDBACK COMMENT I MADE IN THE COURIER MAIL
Subject: Australian racism 'same as British' :15dec05
From: R.P.BenDedek, Australian residing in China
Comment: "and working-class frustration" meaning what Ma'am?
Frustration at being abused by activists - or - frustration at being told 'ethnics' will be offended if we celebrate our traditions and culture? but that we have no right to be similarly offended? -or - is it frustration at being told we have no right to an opinion, but that YOU and others with power to command attention have a right to your opinion?
You have a right to an opinion M/s G. only if I have a right to an opinion, and since the political activists refuse to allow me to express an opinion that does not toe the line with their agendas, you do not in my view have a right to express your opinion.
The frustration of the working classes comes from being treated as second class citizens because they are 'white' or 'christian' or 'homegrown'. Constantly being told that you have no culture or that you have no right to religion, or being told that being white makes you racist, gets to wear mighty thin at times.
The Problem is not the 'ethnics' but our resentment toward the 'home grown' activists. These Aussie idiots have just been exhibiting displaced anger. They (the whites and the lebanese) should have beaten the crap out of the Academics and the political agitators, and then all gone off to the pub to have a round or two.
